- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter still reports that Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena is planned for WrestleMania XXX. We noted earlier in the week, via PWInsider, that the match was something discussed before WWE decided to unify the titles and before they made Randy Orton champion with the idea Bray could win the Royal Rumble and go on to challenge Cena.

– Rey Mysterio’s leg is said to be getting stronger and he’s trying to work his way back into normal ring shape.

– It’s said that The Undertaker asked to work with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. No word yet if it was discussed internally or anything.

  • what?

Cena is played out and down right boring to watch anymore no matter who he wrestles it’s the Same match over and over again. I have nothing but respect for cena for what he does for make a wish .but I’m tired of other performers taken a back seat because of Him

  • The Killswitch

Either way, it would be a win-win for him. Working with Taker is a privilege that would boost his credibility, as well as giving us an easy 5 star match. Win or lose, it’s a very good draw. I’d rather see that than a recycled match with Orton. He really benefits from either match, however.

  • JohnCena33

What do people not understand, Bryan is great, I like him just as much as you, I just rather not see him face Taker, he should win the rumble and face Orton, winning at Mania CLEAN, imagine 75000 fans chanting yes, confetti falling, bryan celebrating with the title, i rather see that than him face taker.

  • The Killswitch

Khali isn’t over with the smarks, and I wouldn’t think he’s even over with the casual viewer or general audience.

Santino is a special case. He’s been pushed lately as a comic relief character, not as a formidable star or even a main eventer. The last success he had was as an IC champion years back, but ever since he’s been jobbing. You can’t possibly compare him and Bryan, who is popular with just about anyone who watches WWE programming.

  • JohnCena33

He should face the wwe champion, not taker. Imagine him winning the belt with 75000 people chanting yes, epic moment.

  • JohnCena33

    i know you are.

  • Kristopher Robinson

You’re asking if people can think a guy can beat another guy on a fake and scripted show….. Are you retarded?!

  • Kristopher Robinson

Khali is over?! Do you ever watch wrestling…..?!

  • Kristopher Robinson

Bc it’s a stupid opinion. DB isn’t big enough?! Common that’s stupid and you know it. It would be retarded to keep handing Taker all these past wrestlers, DB is the right guy for the job and will really help his career and character. I’ll call anybody out on stupid comments, if you don’t like it then get off the Internet.

  • Kristopher Robinson

    Fixed lol

  • JohnCena33

Santino is over with the crowd, so is Khali.

  • The Killswitch

And he is extremely over with the crowd. How does that not signify success?

  • JohnCena33

He was meant to face Eddie Guerrero at Mania 22, but he passed away, so things changed. Even then, look at Takers Mania opponents
    Cm Punk
    HHH
    HBK
    Edge
    Batista
    Orton
    Ric Flair
    Kane
    Big Show
    Big boss Man
    Diesel
    Giant Gonzales
    Jake Roberts
    Jimmy Snuka
    King Kong Bundy

The streak was not as important in the 90s therefore lacking top tier talent, but still, look how impressive those guys were, then starting with kane, and going up look at the top tiered talent he faced.

  • JohnCena33

Not to be rude, but you to are just some guy on a wrestling page. Sad that you insult and hurt people on a wrestling page. Disagreeing with people is fine, but insulting them for a differing opinion, not cool.

  • JohnCena33

He shouts yes and no, REALLY, the guy has no personality nor charisma. Talk to me when he says a new word.

  • JohnCena33

Wow, tou must be confused between WRESTLING and SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT, because WWE is a business, not a place to make your little dreams come true. You are what is wrong with the business. The IWC has to constantly ride Bryan and praise him, he is not a legitimate threat to Taker, have him main event every other PPV, but not the 30th edition of Mania, no. I guess you want to see a guy as tall as me a 5’7 little bearded man face the 7 foot icon of wrestling for the last 20 years. A guy who is lost in 18 seconds at wrestlemania vs a guy who is 21-0 at mania, do you honestly think people will buy that Bryan can beat Taker, NO. Brock Lesnar or John Cena should face Taker at Mania, they draw, they sell, not Bryan. Have Bryan vs Taker at summerslam, just not at mania.

  • d_pooch

I agree. It would be cool if there was a way to get HBK involved in a match btw Bryan and Taker, since Bryan is HBK’s student, and Michaels has experience with Taker. Not as special referee, but somehow in the story line. Just another thought.

  • interesting….

Remember Taker saying he doesn’t mind losing THE STREAK to a potential star…I think Taker Streak should never be broken…but remember the storyline how Brian is a B+ player. Do you guys think THE STREAK should be broken by Bryan which would create an open storyline of Bryan being the only man to defeat Taker and shutting up that B+ player down the Authority Throats b/c neither HHH nor Shawn Michaels nor BOTH when Shawn was the special ref could put the Deadman down…Just an interesting thought.

  • Timothy Davis

Bryan could carry the match and do most of the leg work. His fast movement would mask Takers slowness and injuries. Bryan is a general in the ring and wouldn’t miss any spots to take care of Taker. I believe it’d be HBK vs Taker good. And Bryan has plenty of charisma and is flat out one of the best wrestlers in the world, period. Great idea. Makes sense to me. And if ROH is not for WWE fans then why does WWE take talent from there? At the end of the day it’ll always be wrestling no matter how they package it up and try to sell it to the casual fan.

  • d_pooch

Bryan v. Taker has potential, IMO, if Bryan is still a heel aligned with the Wyatt family, trying to prove something to the powers that be and to the fans, as the story line goes. This makes total sense. Even Bray Wyatt v. Undertaker kind of makes sense.

  • The Knight of Truth

What Taker vs Taket?…. Whoes Raker?….

  • Ray Myer

Wait. Didn’t ‘Taker face Mark Henry at one point? ‘Top tier’ my ass.

  • Kristopher Robinson

Not to be rude, but you’re just some guy on a wrestling page, if Taker wants to wrestle him then Taket must see something in him. I don’t think Raker would waste it on somebody he didn’t really like. So you’re dumb.

  • The Killswitch

I think many people would disagree on you about Bryan lacking charisma.

  • MrDr3w

Sorry kid, but you are literally what is wrong with WWE fans. WWE is heavily entertainment-based, and ;less wrestling-based. Daniel Bryan is as charismatic as a rock – not THE Rock, but an actual rock. You want someone like Daniel Bryan in the feature match, go watch old ROH tapes.

  • Will Henderson

i want Daniel Bryan vs. Taker. it could be a great match if Taker can still go at his age.

  • http://retrorevelations.blogspot.com/ Jesse Moak

sorry kid, but you are literally what is wrong with this business and it’s fans.

  • JohnCena33

Oh god, please no, not Bryan. I mean the guy is a great wrestler but he does not deserve nor has that big time it factor as guys such as Rock, Lesnar, Punk, Cena. The Streak is meant for top tiered draws, not trendy hot wrestlers. Brock vs Taker or Cena vs Taker is what is best for business cause those two guys have the best chance to legitimatley defeat Taker
