It’s well known by now that the current WWE contract of the former WWE Champion AJ Styles is coming up in April and he hasn’t signed a new contract with the company as of yet.
Considering the fact that AEW is also trying to sign talents to fill up their roster, many have been wondering if Styles will consider going to the promotion when his deal is up.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided some update on the situation saying “even though he (Styles) has friends in AEW he appears to be staying with WWE.”
However, as we noted before, AEW is also offering good money to talents, and a recent report revealed that Chris Jericho’s deal with the company made some buzz backstage in WWE.
And if AEW will be interested in signing a WWE Star, it has to be AJ Styles so even if the Phenomenal One is likely to stay with his current employers, it’s easy to imagine that All Elite Officials will be offering him a good deal to try to sign him when his contract expires.
