Beth Phoenix told the Tampa Tribune newspaper that she is planning to return from a major knee injury in two months.
In May, Phoenix tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a match. Phoenix dropped the Smackdown brand’s Women’s Title and was written off TV.
Phoenix is scheduled to be in Los Angeles during Summerslam weekend as part of the “Summerslam Axxess” sessions. She will also be joining fellow injured WWE wrestler Ezekiel Jackson for a live chat with Joey Styles on WWE’s website before the Summerslam PPV on Sunday.
The Tampa Tribune profiled Phoenix due to her upcoming appearances for WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.
Phoenix is scheduled to appear at FCW shows on Wednesday, August 18 in Orlando and Friday, Aug. 20 in Plant City.
