Update on Brock Lesnar’s UFC return

Brock Lesnar is seemingly done with WWE for the time being and the Beast now has his eyes set on his UFC return that is expected to take place sometime early next year.

The latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter provides some update on his status and it reveals that Lesnar has not signed a contract for his fight against Daniel Cormier as of this week.

Though he is training with the Cormier fight in mind and it has been noted that he is doing ‘hard fight training’ already. The idea is for Lesnar to train at 270 pounds, lower than his original UFC run.

As far as his next fight goes, it’s still early to predict a date for it, but his opponent Daniel had speculated recently that it could take place during the NFL Super Bowl weekend, which would be Saturday, February 2, 2019.

It’s worth mentioning here that while Cormier has said that Brock will be his next heavyweight fight, he hasn’t made a commitment about his next fight and he is expected to defend his light heavyweight title before facing the Beast.
