Update on Paul Heyman’s future with WWE

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman

With Brock Lesnar’s contract set to expire soon, there are questions about not only the former Universal Champion but his advocate Paul Heyman’s future as well.

The latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter provides some update on Heyman, and it reveals that there is talk of keeping him on Television even with Lesnar gone.

The most likely role for Paul would be managing some other superstar, and one of the stars that have previously been considered to be managed by the former ECW Owner is none other than the Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

However, the feeling is that Ronda, who has recently reignited her feud with Stephanie McMahon is not ready to turn heel yet so this pairing is not very likely to happen.

Now it would be interesting to see if WWE does decide to keep Heyman on screen and if they do then which star he ends up managing after the Beast Incarnate.

    I like this A LOT

On that note, if they are determined to give him an MMA fighter… give him Shayna Baszler.
She stands to gain a lot if Heyman is successful with her, but they could also save her career if he fails by just teaming her with Rousey.

Keep him away from any up-and-coming stars.

He seriously derailed Cesaro’s career, didn’t help Axel, or Ryback, and his alliance with CM Punk only led to Punk getting fed to Lesnar.

Punk, however, was already at a level where he could recover from that with no real problems. Heyman, in recent years, as a manager, has a 1-in-5, maybe 2-in-5 success rate, so he has to be paired with someone who would be able to come back from it if he fails again.

Paul Heyman and Bobby Lashley… calling it NOW!

Rousey makes no sense now. Yes, she could benefit from having a manager, but should not be heel yet.
If WWE has any sense they will put him with someone who needs a decent push, but handle it better than they did with Curtis Axl.

Braun Strowman seems like a good choice.

  • ROB-1.

How about the manager of Kevin Owens?

  • Old School

have him lead the 4 horsewomen from UFC

  • David Keller

Have Heyman start another stable of heel wrestlers (old school wrestling manager),
