As reported previously, Rey Mysterio signed a two-year deal with the company. The former Intercontinental Champion made sporadic appearances in the WWE at the 2018 Royal Rumble as well as the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
The negotiations between the two parties had a few hiccups since Mysterio only wanted to commit to an 18-month deal. While the deal reads two years, Mysterio managed to work out on a special clause that will allow him to give notice at the 18-month mark, if he needs to leave.
As per PWInsider, Mysterio is set to make his first official appearance at the SmackDown 1000 episode at Washington D.C.
With the Evolution’s appearance confirmed for the show, the WWE are certainly making all meets end to make the historical episode, a memorable one.
