WWE Hall Of Famer Jimmy Snuka was scheduled to stand trial on March 22nd, 2016 in Lehigh Valley, PA on charges of third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter for the 1983 murder case involving the death of his girlfriend, Nancy Argentino.
However, Snuka’s defense attorney Robert J. Kirwan claimed that he was not mentally competent to stand trial. The judge ordered Snuka be tested on his mental competence and that his trial is canceled until the results of the testing are determined.
In an update, prosecutors are asking the judge to force the wrestlers’ lawyer to hand over a psychologist’s report before a hearing next week to determine if Snuka is competent to stand trial.
Snuka is expected to be in court on May 13th, and Judge Kelly Banach will decide if Snuka will stand trial or not.
