Update on The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, Taker’s Current Health

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns is still the plan for one of the key main events at Wrestlemania 33.

Reigns is expected to get a plethora of boos if that match does indeed take place, but Vince McMahon has wanted to make this match for a long time and this could be the last opportunity to do so due to Taker’s health. Reigns eliminated Taker at the Royal Rumble this year, and WWE Officials seem to have their minds fixed on a ‘generational passing of the torch’ from Taker to Reigns.

In other words, it is expected that Reigns will get over on Taker in Orlando. This could set up a possible heel turn for Reigns soon, but the plan is and always has been for Reigns to be the next face of the company. As for the health of Taker, he was in a significant amount of pain after the Royal Rumble match after having hip surgery last Fall. Taker is in dire need of hip replacement surgery but has been putting it off until the conclusion of his in-ring career.
