Updated card for WWE Fastlane

Smackdown Live’s final pay per view before Wrestlemania, WWE Fastlane, takes place on March 11 in Columbus, Ohio. The superstars from the blue brand will look to do whatever they can to guarantee a slot at the grandest stage of them all.

Last night’s edition of Smackdown added two more title matches to the card. Below is the current card for WWE Fastlane.

WWE Title Match: AJ Styles (c) vs Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin vs Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

United States Title Match: Bobby Roode (c) vs Randy Orton

Smackdown Tag Title Match: The Usos (c) vs The New Day

Smackdown Women’s Title Match: Charlotte (c) vs Ruby Riott

We’ve yet to see Rusev and Aiden English in a few weeks, and the winner of the Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura, is nowhere to be found. However, with a few weeks left before the PPV, we’ll see a few more matches added.

As always, the card is subject to change, but that is especially true for the US Title match, as Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon argued over who should be challenging Bobby Roode last night.

Before we get to WWE Fastlane, odds are that Jinder Mahal will be added to the match as well, along with a few more matches.

I think it just shows that WWE either has too many names on the roster right now or keeps focusing on the older talent (Orton) instead of pushing the younger talent. To not have one of the most over guys on tv for a few weeks (Rusev) and the guy who is potentially headlining Mania (Nakamura), just highlights this.

You can promote a rivalry and have people miss the odd week here and there ( I might have blinked and missed them, but I do not even remember seeing
the tag team champs at all this week, including one of those horrible
“words on the screen” selfie promos we keep getting these days), so we did not have to have everyone in the title match on SD this week. Leaving a couple of them off screen or just giving them a short promo would have left room for the likes of Rusev and all the other myriad of talent that is currently being ignored. Hell, I am sure we have someone who could have jobbed to the Bludgeon Brothers instead of nameless jobber 1&2.
