Updated WWE Business Numbers, Backstage News on Brodus Clay & His Gimmick

– WWE’s website had 11.6 million unique visitors in December, down 11% from the previous December. They averaged 1,903 orders per day during December – down 9% from the previous December.

 


 

– WWE shipped 292,000 DVD units in December. The most shipped DVD’s for 2011 were WrestleMania with 236,000, Best of WCW Nitro with 142,000, Steve Austin’s DVD with 121,000, the History of WrestleMania with 120,000, Randy Orton’s DVD with 113,000 and the DX DVD at 110,000.

– The WWE Supershow on January 28th in Evansville, Indiana drew 7,000 fans for $200,000.

– Brodus Clay was reportedly hesitant about doing his new gimmick at first but “Road Dogg” BG James has been working with him on it. Clay wanted to be a monster heel, like originally planned.
