Vince McMahon Reportedly ‘Blew a Gasket’ During RAW’s Brock Lesnar Segment

According to a report from F4WOnline, Vince McMahon reportedly ‘blew a gasket’ backstage at RAW yesterday after the crowd refused to cheer for Goldberg, instead chanting ‘Goldberg sucks’. Vince played Lesnar’s music early to end the segment ‘right in the middle’.

Why are u talkin about him laughing while breaking the streak,he was definitely a heel then I said since the Rollins angle he’s been Face.and yes I do believe they had 3 faces main even a ppv,Heyman didn’t get involved in the streak being broken or in the rematches so I really don’t know what your talking about,so what if he mocked him sitting up,last I checked Takers the one who tapped and used a low blow sooo if u wanna say it was a heel in that match it was undertaker.u sound so stupid go buy the network and rewatch everything u just talked about.Brock has been a face, and just like stone cold he’s not a super smiley face who plays by the rules all the time.hes a badass face that everybody loves everywhere.

  • JAckh45

Are you legit? You honestly think Lesnar was a Face V Taker?? The Conquer who laughed while he beat the streak?? Mocked Takers sit up trade mark in the middle of SummerSlam?? Not to mention the countless times Heyman got involved during that series of matches…That’s what a face character is to you??
Also the triple threat match when he fought Ambrose and Roman??? Your telling me they have a Face v Face v Face match main event a ppv??
I’m not even going to mention this “supposed” turn your talking about when people were actually booing Brock after the Orton match and then once he laid Shane out, if that’s not being a heel to you I don’t know what is… wow

Also I never argued that home town crowds cheering him wasn’t ridiculous, he could go anywhere and still be cheered… face or heel Lesnar is still pretty awesome and will always be cheered (even after being found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs, he still came out being cheered). Being Cheered doesn’t make you face tho… but hey, you keep thinking what you want.

  • PJ

No obviously YOU don’t understand the difference between heel and face..he’s been face ever since the Rollins feud..the taker rematches are clearly Face vs Face.every angle he’s been in since he’s been Face, now when he busted Orton and f5d Shane that was “supposed” to be his heel turn obviously but in order for that to work they should’ve had heyman lay that out in a promo the next night.but no they kept Brock in the shadows until the hometown show expecting him to be booed which is rediculous.

  • JAckh45

You obviously don’t understand how merchandising works with the most over athlete they have had on their roster since The Rock. Lesnar is far from face, sorry to disappoint.

  • PJ

If he was heel we wouldn’t go to every town with their towns name on his t shirt

  • D2K

    Happens to me a lot.

  • Jakynth

What in the heck did they expect? The hometown hero to get booed?

  • Jakynth

You must have been watching a different show. It was very clearly a Goldberg Sucks chant on my TV.

  • CC

    What drugs are you on?

  • CC

I will say though that house shows often end have switch ups like that in home towns or countries. Numerous times the likes of Regal or Barrett have played baby face during a heel run, when they are in the UK.

  • M

True, but that does sound like Vince. With the logic he’s had for the past how many years, anything reported is probably the truth.

  • JAckh45

Just saying, Brock is labelled as a Heel and has been for a long time.
Orton was clearly the face in their feud.
Ambros was clearly face in that feud.
During his time taking on Seth, Lesnar was a tweener (played a face taking on the Authority, but when Undertaker got involved he became Heel almost instantly simply by being attacked).
Was heel during his Roman program also… etc.
I do understand how its difficult to get when the crowd these days cheer for whoever they want, but Brock has been in a heel roll basically since his WWE return.

  • JAckh45

I kinda feel like the reason the segment bombed was all due to Heyman.
Dont get me wrong, the man can sell a heater in hell but he is just so good at hyping up Lesnar that no matter who Brock’s opponent is, cheers are always going to go one way after Heyman speaks.
But honestly, it was Brock’s home town… Goldberg is Goldberg and all, but c’mon… its the beast’s den.

((Why does this need to be approved???? Come on now…))

  • Kristopher Robinson

I take it that, you don’t actually watch wrestling.

  • BB

I agree to an extent on Jericho. I’m from Winnipeg and Jericho was here for a house show in May, I believe? Anyway, he got an insane reaction as usual whenever he’s in Winnipeg. He faced Dean in the main event and the roles were definitely reversed. Dean got booed out of the building and he knew. He played the role reversal switch up well. It was a good time.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

The fans didn’t chant Goldberg sucks. Half were Goldberg and half were Suplex City. The Suplex city half were chanting “Sucks” just after the Goldberg fans chanted.

  • Armitage Soulshroude

“reportedly” blew a gasket. Meaning that we don’t know the reason why he supposedly blew it, or if he actually did. I want the real story.

  • M

Had me fooled, this was the reason why. I thought they cut it short because of the bad spot on the card. Literally the main event was 20 minutes long and the show ended @ 11:15. If they’re hyping a big fight and one of the opponents is in their hometown wouldn’t you want them to support their guy? Seriously, Vince what did you expect to happen and why would you even want them to hate him? Brock’s in his territory, his hometown, it should have been all Suplex City, not a single cheer for Goldberg. We knew the old man has lost it, this is just another one of those things that prove it.

  • Khosrow

You know what smart guy? THAT got you on….THE LIST!!!!! 😉

  • PJ

    Stupid idiot

  • The Crock

the only way for Vince to stop the Toronto crowd from boooing on Goldberg is for Vince to suck it up and get Bret Hart to walk out with Goldberg and have Bret endorse Goldberg.

For that to happen Vince is gonna have to pay Bret what he owes him for that 20 year contract, well 19 years of it as Bret is still a bitter old duck with a serious case of sparkle crotch disease.

  • The Crock

Jericho sucks balls, he is doing exactly what he was so upset about when he left WCW in 99′.

He has turned into Hogan era 95′ early 96′ WCW when he could hear the thunderous booos but still was a face, or doing the as Pritchard described the ostrich act of skiting head in sand hoping it goes away, Jericho needs to go away he is bad and holding back Owens.

  • PJ

Agreed,Jericho is almost TOO good at crowd control, undoubtedly the most underrated guy in the last 20 years

  • The Crock

Steve Austin WM17 Texas …. Vince even back then was an idiot.

  • D2K

Heyman did everything he could to try and salvage that segment. It just wasn’t gonna happen.

  • D2K

It’s funny you mention that because one of the quotes Vince is fond of saying when mishaps occur on live TV is “Hey, it’s live TV!” I guess he forgot that.

His reaction (if true) is just another indicator on how out of touch he is with reality and why he needs to go sit down somewhere.

  • Robert

I have it recorded and the fans did chant Goldberg before they chanted Goldberg SUCKS.

  • CC

Seems Vinnie Mac and WWE forgot where they were and who comes from there.
You take certain wrestlers, and put them in their own state and it doesn’t matter how much of a bad guy they are, they will always get cheers. Expecting the crowd there to boo Lesnar would be like expecting Chicago to boo Punk.

  • MrDr3w

Jericho’s home crowd? Is that Winnipeg, or New York, or Calgary, or Tampa (where he’s living now)?

  • MrDr3w

To be fair, there were like, six guys chanting for Goldberg. Heyman made it awkward by acknowledging it. It barely came across on TV, unless you were listening very, very closely.

  • Khosrow

The spot could have been planned better, even I knew that Lesnar was going to be a face there. It was like trying to get The Harts booed in Canada, it’s not even worth trying. Right now the only one who could get his own home crowd to turn on him would be Jericho. That’s only because he is that amazing.

  • Mister Who

Wow De ja vu all over again for Bill Goldberg

  • PJ

Heyman is arguably the best mic man in the biz,but not even he can turn Brock heel in his hometown by simply talking down on Goldberg…and pretending the crowd was cheering for Goldberg, cmon

  • PJ

Wtf,take the most over dude on the roster to his HOMETOWN and expect him to get booed?when he’s been face for quite some time now?how about actually having him do something and turn him heel beforehand or right then and there.thats just lazy booking and assuming a crowd is gonna boo somebody for no logical reason is just stupid

  • Kayfabe_Is_Dead

Anything can happen on live TV, folks! Especially with WWE fans nowadays. Vince should have figured this out by now. I felt Heyman and Lesnar were stalling too much though, letting the crowd affect them.

  • Dustin

That’s what happens when you bring the heel out to the place of his alma mater in the middle of one of your biggest storylines in years. It’s like a second home to him. Canada will be as well. Should be fun!

  • Killswitch

That segment was very, very awkward. Everyone was chanting Suplex City and Goldberg Sucks, even though Heyman was claiming people were chanting for Goldberg. And the segment just ended after Lesnar and Heyman just stood there for a while.
