- During Thursday’s WWE investor conference call, Vince McMahon spoke about The Rock’s impact on the company’s second quarter financial results, namely WrestleMania, which generated over $28 million in revenues.

McMahon announced that The Rock will be appearing at “multiple” pay-per-view events aside from WrestleMania 28.

The Rock announced last month that he’ll be appearing at the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series in November to confront John Cena, who he will wrestle at WrestleMania 28. While there was talk of The Rock appearing at SummerSlam in some capacity, scheduling conflicts prevented that from happening.

Even the worst movie that The Rock has been in (including Doom) is better than the best movie Cena has been in (I really cant say which one is the best as they are all pretty formulaic and shite).

although I do agree with you CC most of Rocks films are what you term formulaic as well to be fair, And to go further there is not really much they can make that has not already being done.

Glad to hear the Rock will be showing up a bit more sooner than later as it hopefully means jackass cena gets whooped at summerslam and his paperweight belt goes where he belongs, the trash heap.

@Devil_Rising. I would like to correct part of your statement if I may.
“(ALL of) Rock’s movies better than the garbage Cena has tried to star in”

And ya know something, I dont want to see him show up too often as it wont make it so special when he does. I mean, as much as we enjoy Austin appearing, its not as special as The Rock as he has done it a lot more. It was a huge deal when Bret first showed up, but now when he shows up it just doesnt seem that exciting anymore.

To me it shows that Rock is still one of the biggest stars ever, Cena, no matter if Creative force him over Rock next year, will never be in Rocks league both in ring and for the companys bank balance.

Tickets go on sale in the beginning of Sept. I am going to get them when they go on sale.

It really says something that not only are (SOME of) Rock’s movies better than the garbage Cena has tried to star in, but Rock can come back once every few YEARS, and generate more buz and excitement than Cena ever has in his entire career. It isn’t that people are DYING to see Rock vs. Cena because it will be this amazing match. People simply like Rock better, and want to see someone like Rocky kick Cena’s ass.

survivor series tickets went on sale?

  • WrestlingPhony

If he wants to be treated like a god, then ya he does need to be there more often. Now he just looks phony when he says I’m not leaving, and then is gone for months. I’m by no means a fan of Cena’s, but at least the guy shows up for the fans (whether they love him or hate him), so this one time I’m gonna agree with him. The Rock leaving has completely destroyed the feud; if he was that busy, he should have waited until the fall and then started the feud. Team Bring It…via video feed.

I am going to Survior Series, so that would be cool to see him live again. I think the Rock will be a mystery entrant in The Royal Rumble.

  • The real wrestling god

That’s cool Rock doesn’t need to appear all the time like the whiners and complainers “Cough Cough John Cena”.
