Vince Russo Rips TNA For Their Big Announcement: “TNA Has Literally Become A Joke”

Former TNA creative writer Vince Russo uploaded a new YouTube video talking about TNA’s big announcement that was revealed earlier today. That announcement was that the company would be heading to India for a media tour and to scout talent.

Russo went off on TNA and how much of lame announcement that it was.

“I hate to say this, but TNA has literally become a joke. TNA is the punch line in professional wrestling and it’s for reasons such as this where Dixie Carter has teased days in advance that she is going to make a big announcement come Monday afternoon and that big announcement is the tour of India.”

Russo then blasted John Gaburick as he will be going on the tour with fellow TNA talent Reby Sky and Ethan Carter the III.

“John Gaburick is going on the tour, maybe he’ll just stay there. Maybe that’s the best news to come out of this India tour. Maybe he’ll get hooked on the food and want to stay over there and never come back as head of creative for TNA anymore.”

Russo took a shot at TNA President Dixie Carter and blasted TNA for reports of talents not being allowed to eat by themselves at catering prior to the TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view on Sunday.

Look at the crowds when IMPACT was there.

    God bless.

Vince indeed did nothing for them, but they were a joke before he went in, a joke during the time he was there, and are still a joke after he left. One constant factor there is Carter, no matter how much you try to shine it.

Not even close to being true.
I do not even live in the USA and I can tell you for a fact next to nobody over here has heard of TNA other than die hard wrestling fans.
The only reason they get anywhere near close to the viewing figures as WWE is that WWE is on a sports channel that you have to pay through the nose for, and TNA is on a free channel part of the basic package.

And when it comes to live events, once again, they play similar size venues, but WWE charges more and still sells out quicker.

Where at overseas, specifically, is TNA bigger than WWE?

They might have a larger fan base overseas than they do in the states but their tv ratings and ppv buy rates say that they aren’t larger than WWE in any market.

    This comment made me happy.
TNA’ major announcements have been overblown since before they left SPIKE, so this is nothing new.

Yet the guy came into wCw and TNA, and did NOTHING to help them or make the product better.

You can put his credibility in a thimble and STILL have room left over.

TNA is huge overseas – bigger than WWE.

    Nice announcement.

Good job, Dixie – future’s getting brighter for TNA.

    I love it.

And when Vince was in charge of TNA – it was an even BIGGER joke.

    He did nothing for them.

Do not usually agree with much this man says, but in this instance he is saying pretty much the same as most of the general public who is sick hearing these “big announcements”.
