Bobby Roode’s Glorious music could be getting in his way

Bobby Roode is finally on the WWE main roster and it is a Glorious time for any fan of Roode. But when he debuted on SmackDown Live some fans who followed him from NXT noticed he had a different persuasion.

He was once a heel and since he’s on WWE’s blue brand now he seems to be a babyface. This might be a puzzling change of character for The Glorious One but it doesn’t seem like it will alter him much. He still seems like he’ll have the same move set, taunts and of course, his entrance music is still the same too.

In fact, his entrance music might be an issue here. Dave Meltzer recently mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio how Roode’s Glorious music might actually get in his way eventually if he wants to become a major heel.

“The problem with him is well it’s not a problem — if they want him as a heel he’s gotta ditch the music because that’s total babyface music for life. So when it comes time for him to be a heel I think what he should do is just say ‘I hate this music, it sucks.’ And people would be so pissed at him that they couldn’t sing that music and I think at that point he’ll be a really good heal. But not with that music.”

“For right now again, he might as well be a babyface. John Cena left — they got an open spot. I mean what babyface do they got? They got Nakamura and Randy Orton the next guy down is probably, AJ of course so those are their three. But yeah, it seems like they got a spot to fill.”
