Willie Mack On Why He Never Worked In NXT Despite Signing With WWE

WWE signed Willie Mack in 2014, however, Mack, who made his pro wrestling debut in 2006, never got the chance to train at the WWE Performance Center or work a match in the company. The reason that he never got the chance to work for WWE is due to his medical tests.

Mack talked about the situation during an appearance on Ring Rust Radio.

“The signing process is a pain in the ass,” Mack said. “The thing is like a six-month waiting process, so I was already signed when people found out about it. They put you through a process including flying you out to Pittsburgh to meet their doctors and get background checks.”

The whole thing is stressful,” Mack explained. “Then at the end of the day, they said they didn’t like how the doctor read one of my test results. How my blood pressure was and how one of my knees felt. They said they couldn’t use me. They didn’t offer me anything, they just said that they couldn’t use me down there. The funny thing about that is when I asked to see the reports from my medical stuff to see what was wrong, do you think I have seen any of that stuff yet? Nope.”

Mack also talked about working in Lucha Underground and more. You can listen to the entire interview here.
