Wrestlers Doing Stand-Up, Lance Storm’s New TV Show, Funaki Training and More

– Lance Storm’s “World of Hurt” wrestling reality TV show began production last week. Pyramid Productions is doing the show with Storm’s wrestling school in Calgary. The show will air on The Cave in Canada. The show follows wrestlers from around the world who join Storm’s school to learn the art of professional wrestling.

 


 

– Colt Cabana, Jonny Fairplay and Glen “Disco Inferno” Gilbertti will be filming a pilot episode for a TV show called Ghost Trek from December 10th through December 13th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gilbertti and Cabana play MMA fighters while Fairplay plays the role of a stoner.

– Former WWE star Sho Funaki is opening a wrestling school in San Antonio, Texas in conjunction with a local independent promotion, River City Wrestling and their school. Funaki will begin training students on January 15th.

– Raven is the latest wrestler to try his hand in the stand-up comedy profession, working a comedy show in Philadelphia recently. Other wrestling names who have gotten into comedy include Rob Van Dam, Roddy Piper, Colt Cabana, Mick Foley, Bruce “Brother Love” Prichard, Johnny Valiant and King Kong Bundy.
