WWE announces 2 new qualifying matches for Crown Jewel World Cup

Amidst the ongoing controversy over the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV from Saudi Arabia, WWE has announced two new qualifying matches for their World Cup.

The company has announced that Seth Rollins will take on Drew McIntyre and Dean Ambrose will face Dolph Ziggler in qualifying matches on this week’s Raw.

While the company hasn’t released any official statement on whether the show will still go as planned, announcing these matches could be taken as a sign that they are planning to run the event after all.

Though it’s worth mentioning here that while the company is still promoting the upcoming show, they have stopped mentioning Saudi Arabia while posting about it on social media.

This has led many to wonder if WWE is considering changing countries for their upcoming PPV event instead of canceling it as people want. We’ll keep you posted on the matter.
