WWE Announces More Voting Troubles, HBK’s Return to RAW and More

– Stan sent word that there was 53 minutes and 9 seconds of in-ring action on last night’s three-hour RAW. This is almost double the in-ring action from the previous week’s three-hour RAW.

– John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz are advertised for the RAW live event in Stockton, California on August 7th – the weekend before WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.

– For those wondering, Shawn Michaels will be on next Monday’s RAW Roulette show to promote his new show – “Shawn Michaels MacMillan River Adventures.” The show debuts the night after RAW, Tuesday June 28th, on the Outdoor Channel.

– WWE updated the following on their website:

“Regrettably, technical difficulties occurred once more leading up to the night’s Six-Man Tag Team Match main event, when it became apparent to WWE management that text votes were again not being tabulated properly. At this time, a decision was made to turn to’s Live Chat Poll for the official judgment. With the power still in the hands of the people, the WWE Universe selected the Elimination Match (option C) by an overwhelming 87 percent, leading to this stipulation being enacted.”

Bottom line? The WWE entices you in with the “fan-vote.” It’s just like all the rest of these voting shows–they entice you to vote so that you’ll watch to see if your pick wins when, in reality, they already know the “plan” and who’s going to win/what the matches will be. It’s all about $ ans ratings, baby!

Maybe they should just give a vote a few months in advance so the WWE universe can vote on the superstars that fight and the matches they fight in.. a full month is easy enough time for them to ‘Rehearse’….

Of COURSE the “fan vote” thing is all a scam. Even though RAW is “live,” it’s in the can before coming on at 9:00 (or 8:00 for the 3 hour shows). And that’s on the EAST coast. By the time RAW airs on the west coast, it’s over for the folks in the east (3 hour time difference). Having people text their “vote” is a cute way of gauging how many people are watching (as opposed to how many sets are tuned in), and just how involved in the programming they are. But to try and claim that viewers can text in and change the past??? How stupid does WWE think its viewers are???

I will tell you one thing.. We all know the Sin Cara thing was rigged. Here is the problem though… Now that your not just doing online polling that doesn’t cost anyone anything… Now that your doing texts… WWE is opening themselves up to a lawsuit. Yeah it’s dumb.. but you are costing people money under a premise that is not valid. Even if it’s a few cents.

I have always thought, even with Taboo Tuesday and Cyber Sunday, that the whole fan-voted match thing is a scam. They are gonna book those matches how they want to. Otherwise, we would have had an awesome Evan Bourne-Sin Cara matchup instead of a ridiculous Bourne-Batista Lite squash.

OK, how were the “text votes not tabulating properly” when you gave enough time for the voting to stop then start again. This really makes no sense, especially they’ve let the fans “vote” many times before without a hitch.

LOL, they should just stop with these “errors” as you can tell none of them were.
