WWE Asks Fans If They’re Interested in Goldberg vs. Lesnar III

Now that Goldberg has defeated ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar twice in their meetings at Wrestlemania 20 and Survivor Series earlier this month, a third match has been recently discussed between the two dominant athletes. The WWE website is asking fans if they’re interested in seeing a third match-up, and the results have been nearly dead even:

How do you feel about a potential third match-up between the two men? Where should it happen and how do you see it going down?

Many others did enjoy it as well. So it’s a moot point. People complain for the sake of complaining. If they had a 20-30 minute match and it stunk again, people would be complaining about that. If Brock Lesnar had won, people would be complaining about THAT.

People were pissed, (and rightfully-so) when a legend like Sting comes in and jobs to Triple H. Now people are pissed when a legend like Brock Lesnar jobs to Goldberg in 84 seconds.

The problem isn’t Vince’s BS. The problem is that people have become so entitled that they think EVERYTHING has to be EXACTLY how THEY want it all the time. They ignore the fact that Goldberg was injured. They ignore the fact that Brock Lesnar himself suggested this. They ignore the fact that not only will there be a Goldberg in the Royal Rumble, but a third match between the two at Wrestlemania which is what everyone said they wanted in the first place. If people thought this match was so pointless, then why complain about it when you know they are gonna wrestle again? If this WAS Goldberg’s last match then I would be on board with this being ridiculous. However this is a story-driven television show. Geez.

I seriously doubt that the vast majority of the people complaining paid for the PPV or bought a ticket. They probably watched it free somewhere or watched it in the network. I personally got more enjoyment from the squash than I did some of the matches because the matches aren’t anything that I haven’t see or don’t see on RAW/Smackdown save for the highspots.

The only problem I see with the whole thing is the Shane/Brock heat pretty much has no purpose now.

People like me? Got to laugh at that. I can guarantee Vince McMahon LOVES people like you who enjoy and eat up this type of bs. If you enjoyed it, good for you. I didn’t, many others didn’t, oh well. Get over the other opinions.

Might safe them both, an injury though.

No.. they didn’t. I’m one of them who dislikes a 2 minute Squash. If I paid for the event, it wasn’t worth the money just to see THAT.

It wouldn’t work… People just want to see Sting vs Taker as both retirement matches or just one.

  • Ben Tarr

    They more than did.

People like you are what’s wrong with the IWC.

So many people have complained about how Brock was becoming predictable and how he was getting lazy in the ring, just doing suplexes, etc. I know because I was one of them.

FINALLY Brock Lesnar looks vulnerable. We now have something to talk about. As shocking as it was to see it happen, I have no problem with the SS squash. From a storyline standpoint I see where they are going with this. Being that Lesnar did the job for Goldberg at Mania XX, this could give Goldberg the opportunity to “do the honors” for Lesnar in his final match.

People have already taken the bait because you hear people say “Goldberg has already beaten him twice so why have the fight again?” So if Lesnar beats Goldberg at WM 33 it will actually mean something.

Just do Goldberg and sting vs undertaker and brock lesnar at mania… wwf vs wcw

Only if Brock wins otherwise it would be stupid to have Goldberg win 3 times.

  • Honestly, I was quite happy with the Survivor Series match and see no reason for another match between them. Thats not to say there are others I wouldn’t mind seeing Goldberg face (like bring back Ryback for one match) but as far as Brock goes, I don’t really want to see that again.

I feel like they kind of have to considering people didn’t get their money’s worth for the last one. What should have been a 20-30 minute brawl was giant middle finger.
