New WWE Champion Crowned at Tonight’s Hell In a Cell Pay-Per-View from Miami

– Randy Orton won the vacant WWE Title by defeating Daniel Bryan in the main event of tonight’s Hell In a Cell pay-per-view.

Orton won in controversial fashion in an ending that saw interference from Triple H and special referee Shawn Michaels.

    Please…Please no more Orton/Bryan

I want them to at least build another corporation and add younger guys and other talent. Make another big stable.

Maybe someone like Shane McMahon will come out, hold the title in abeyance over the way the ending happened and the Raw Main Event will be Orton/Bryan for the belt, which will have a Big Show ending, setting up Orton and Bryan at the next PPV.

I expected they would keep Shawn face with a non-deliberate screwjob such as Shawn gives Triple H some sweet chin music while Big Show hits Bryan from behind with the KO punch, bryan “spins” from the punch into an RKO, Shawn turns around, sees only the RKO and makes the cover.

Having shawn cooperatively screw him over sets up the same old Gimmick that Shawn has done 5-6 times in the past where he comes out to “Explain Himself” and it turns out Triple H is dangling a carrot.

This end not only was predictable 2 miles away; but it sets up another 2 miles of predictability. The only question is, how long will Orton hold the belt and will his title reign rely on Triple H Corporation?

  • Yes, it was. As soon as HBK was announced, basically as soon as any special ref is announced, you can see a screwjob coming from weeks ago. Months even.

    So predictable….
