We noted before how New Year’s edition of Raw this year will be taped instead of airing Live and now it has been revealed that the same will be the case for the SmackDown episode as well.
The Raw episode will be taped on December 28th, and now Pwinsider has revealed that SmackDown will be taped a day after this and air on the 1st January.
Though that’s not all as PPG Paints Arena where the episode will be taped from is also advertising two big matches for the special edition of the show.
The first match is between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and the second bout is a fatal four way for the WWE Championship among AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, the Miz and Samoa Joe.
Although it’s possible that any of these matches end up being dark main event or they get changed, and we’ll have to wait till the tapings to find out.
