WWE Championship match set for SummerSlam, updated PPV card

John Cena faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main-event of this week’s episode of SmackDown. Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers watched the match from a sky box in the arena. Cena had the match in control and planted Nakamura with two Attitude Adjustments in a row.

Cena went for a third Attitude Adjustment but Nakamura was able to counter it into an Exploder Suplex and Cena landed on the back of his head. Nakamura then geared up in the corner and connected with the Kinshasa for the victory. Nakamura will now face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship at WWE SummerSlam on August 20th.

After SmackDown went off the air, Baron Corbin attacked Nakamura from behind. Cena came down to the ring and made the save. Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Corbin through the announce table and then shook hands with Nakamura once again.
