- There is concern among WWE officials that Vince McMahon’s mockery of Jim Ross’ affliction with Bell’s palsy in a backstage segment on the June 11 Raw SuperShow could cause backlash for the organization. The Creative Coalition, which formed a multi-platform, nationwide anti-bullying alliance with WWE, “be a STAR,” would appear hypocritical by conducting business with an organization that practices what they preach against.

McMahon’s mockery segment struck a nerve with former WCW announcer Mark Madden, who went on Twitter to blast the WWE chief.

“McMahon mocking Ross’ Bell’s Palsy was unforgivable. What a scumbag, pure and simple. Just a twisted, emotionally crippled jerkoff,” he wrote. “McMahon wasn’t mocking a stranger. Ross is one of WWE’s most valued employees ever. Ross’ big sin: He knows more about wrestling than Vince.”

- WWE, The Creative Coalition and the Brooklyn Cyclones will join forces for Anti-Bullying Night at MCU Park next Wednesday. David Otunga, Zack Ryder, Natalya and Lilian Garcia will be on hand to spread the message of the “be a STAR” anti-bullying campaign before the Cyclones game. In addition to the pre-game presentation, WWE Superstars and Divas will be signing autographs on the concourse and Lilian Garcia has been announced to sing the National Anthem.

During the game, fans will be asked to use their social media tools to spread an anti-bullying message and take the official “be a STAR” pledge by logging onto www.beastaralliance.org to put an end to bullying through proper channels and communication, while also creating a bully free-environment for everyone.

Additional details on the event are available here.

They should’ve been concerned about the anti-bullying campaign a long time ago. What made them think that the WWE will be consistent with it? Lol…It’s been a joke for a while.

  • keylo

So they have an issue with this but not with him glorifying a rapist go figure, but hey as Don the nigger King would say “only in america”

For years impressionists have done impressions of Sylvester Stallone, and they always do him with the sloped mouth and slur because thats what he looks and sounds like. Nobody gives a damn and calls it bullying or insulting, but he has facial paralysis caused during birth.
The impression of Ross is no different. If you are gonna do an impression, you focus on the physical as well as the vocal, as the physical can often mask any imperfections in the vocal. Watch anyone who does a Deniro impression, or an Eastwood impression, they always try to imitate the facial movements as they are as distinctive as the the actors voice.

As someone said above, if Ross aint worried about it, then why should everyone else be.

Eugene was a great character. Regardless of what WWE/Vince’s intentions, I cheered for the guy every time n thought he was entertaining as hell. Maybe more entertaining then… Cena

  • sam mccourt

Why do they try and stop bullying, it will not be stopped either way

  • Diesel

Thing is growing up, that was the sort of thing Vince picked up and probably thought was acceptable (in those days racial abuse was an every day occourance)around that sort of time. Lets not forget the “racial stereotype” he gave wrestlers like Cryme Tyme, Funaki, R-Truth and so on.

But it’s another thing to poke fun at somebody with a disability/ handicap. Lets not forget Eugene…..

JR keeps on getting pissed on by Vince and on screen through Cole & Laurinatis.
He’s one of the most loyal and most knowledgeable guys in the business and the best commentator ever in my opinion. And he’s off screen!? Cole Does not deserve to be on Raw plus The King & Cole don’t mix Jerry is the King of Ass kissing and Kayfabe however take Cole away from the picture and bring back JR then the King will be the early 2000′s King which the fans love. JR should return to Raw with The King. And the cherry on the top would to hire him back as EVP of talent relations.

    @Robinson

I understand what you’re saying, but when it’s something as serious as Bell’s Palsy that he’s mocking, it kind of becomes a big issue.

I have mates that are Asian for example, and we call them all sorts (and they give it back) all in a bit of fun. They know and we know it’s a harmless joke, just like JR probably did. But to do it on TV is sinful. It mocks everyone with a disease that they don’t exactly want. Jokes like that should be kept private, not broadcast to the world by a group claiming to be trying to put an end to bullying. It’s hugely hypocritical.

The whole bullying campaign could kill the WWE for fans over 12 years old if they actually implemented it correctly.

  • King Albert

Why don’t we stop beating around the bush and ask JR what he thinks.

  • King Albert

I’ll knife that Mark madden cunt, see how much he cries then.

  • Jimbotron

Not to mention all the bullying of Lillian Garcia.

  • Bill

Wait, so only now does WWE realize that Vince has been contradicting Be A Star? I bet this will do a number on Linda’s campaign.

  • poko

oh yea here we go, the all mighty Devil Rising sounding off like the self-righteous, know it all dick we see on here.

kitrock speaks more sense! and has more likes as of this post too!

  • @TrevorAllen23

    Good Gawd! Good Gawd Almighty!

  • Devil_Rising

Anyone who thinks “it’s not a big deal”, are, “no offense”, fucking morons.

Jim Ross has done and meant so much for this business. Vince “World’s Biggest Ingrate” McMahon and his WWF/E most especially. How would any of you react if Vince made fun of Bobby Heenan’s cancer and the way he’s forced to talk now because of it? Or Bret Hart’s stroke? Or maybe Macho Man’s death?

Would that STILL be “just a joke, and people are too damn sensitive” these days? Or perhaps would you realize that “Hey, that’s really fucked up, Vince is an asshole”? Perhaps it really isn’t that people just “have sand in their vaginas” (nice sexist insinuation, by the way), maybe it’s just that SOME WWE marks/fans have their heads so far up Vince McMahon’s millionaire ass, that they don’t think any of the rotten and outright idiotic things he does are wrong?

    Food for thought.

  • santino sicilian cool

    gotta agree there kitkrock

  • kitkrock

Vince McMahon is a racist piss ass bully hypocrite who’ll burn in hell.

  • fivogoeswest

    @Robinson

It’s cause they all got sand in their vaginas

  • Bastion Booger

I think they need to suspend Vince for 30 days like they did to Jericho

  • zappo

@robinson. Yes it was made to be a joke, but u gotta think wwe is a company and be a star is a compnay that is trying to tell kids its not nice to bully, yet a major personality is “bullying” jim ross or other people. Yes its for tv but some people don’t see it that way.

  • moo

why does this website keep quoting Mark Madden like he matters.

  • Robinson

If Jim Ross aint pist then I dont see the problem personally. When did everybody get so sensitive?! I understand the be a star thing but common I think Vince ment it as a joke.
