WWE considering interesting Wrestlemania 35 opponent for Asuka

Asuka

Asuka has been virtually absent from WWE television after she successfully defended her Smackdown Women’s Title against Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble.

With WrestleMania 35 approaching, the card is slowly starting to shape up. However, it was still unknown what plans WWE has for Asuka’s Wrestlemania 35 opponent. It was reported that she had no Wrestlemania opponent being considered, but that has changed now.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Lacey Evans will be getting a huge push soon. He also said that WWE is potentially considering Lacey Evans for Asuka’s opponent at WrestleMania.

He added that at one point, the Asuka vs. Lacey Evans matchup was definitely on the books. However, WWE is now weighing all of their options in order to decide who Asuka’s Wrestlemania 35 opponent will be.

With Fastlane approaching, no match for the Smackdown Women’s Title has been announced either. So we will have to wait and see what WWE does.

We will keep you updated as we get to learn more regarding Asuka’s status.

Vince is definitely still making the big decisions. What is known is that when XFL starts, he’ll be stepping back from micromanaging weekly TV, though.

I not sure Vince really having much say in the WWE right now. I believe he still handing the responsabitly over to HHH, Stephanie and Shane. I know many might disagree but I still believes Vince Mac is stepping down after WM 35.

    What’s interesting about Lacey?

She has potential, sure, but she’s not ready. I suspect that the US love of “the troops!” is the only reason she’s being pushed so fast. Vince wants to capitalise on that “She was in the USMC!” pop.

Didn’t David just report the other day about Auska not having anybody for WM 35?
