WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Results (4/17)

WWE’s Elimination Chamber 2019 took place at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX on February 17th.

 


 

Kickoff Show results:

– We see a shot outside the area as fans are lined up to get in the Toyota Center. Our pre-show panel tonight consists of Jonathan Coachman, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, and Sam Roberts.

– Coachman introduces a video from Mustafa Ali talking about not being medically cleared to compete tonight in the Chamber.

– We see WWE Champion Daniel Bryan in his locker room pacing around. Rowan is with him.

– We go to a pre-taped promo from Braun Strowman talking about his history with his opponent tonight Baron Corbin.

– Sheamus and Cesaro walk over to the Kickoff Show panel, but they’re quickly interrupted by Heavy Machinery. Heavy Mahinery predicts that Shane and Miz will win tonight. The two tag teams exchange words before Coachman thanks them for joining them. Sheamus asks if that’s Coach’s way of getting rid of them. Coach sends us to some replays from RAW.

– We see The Riott Squad backstage talking about tonight. They say that they got matching tattoos of their WWE debut date. Charlotte interrupts and says she’ll be at ringside for Ruby’s match tonight against Ronda Rousey.

Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Akira Tozawa: Murphy no-sells some chops to the chest from Tozawa, then he dumps the challenger outside. They brawl on the floor, and Murphy misses a shot and hits the ring post. Back in the ring, Tozawa hits a hurricanrana on Murphy which sends the Champion out to ringside. Tozawa goes for a suicide dive, but Murphy catches him and suplexes him down to the floor. During the match, we cut to the backstage area where Big E and Xavier talk about how they think Kofi is going to win the Elimination Chamber tonight. Back in the ring, Tozawa connects with a kick to the face of the Champion. Tozawa hits a missile dropkick off the top, and then a running boot to the face of Murphy. Tozawa hits a suplex and then the Shining Wizard on Murphy for a two count. Tozawa follows up with a shot off the top for another two count. Tozawa looks for a flying cross body, but Murphy escapes and hits a facebuster. Murphy knees the challenger in the face and hits a suplex for a two count. Murphy and Tozawa trade strikes until Tozawa drops him with a lariat. Tozawa hits a German suplex for a two count. Tozawa dumps the Champion outside and hits a suicide dive on him. Back in the ring, Tozawa hits a senton drop off the turnbuckle for a two count. Murphy comes back with a knee to the face. Tozawa looks for a submission, but Murphy reverses it into the Murphy’s Law for the three count.

– We see a selfie-style video from Kevin Owens sitting in his car. He says he’ll be watching Elimination Chamber tonight. He says he doesn’t understand why his kids eat pineapple on pizza, then he eats a slice, and sells that it’s disgusting.

– WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry comes out to the stage to talk about tonight’s Elimination Chamber matches and promote his new documentary. Mark predicts that The Iiconics and Kofi Kingston will win their Chamber matches tonight.

– The pre-show panel goes over the card one more time, and Elimination Chamber 2019 is about to begin.

Elimination Chamber 2019 results:

– A video package opens up the show, and then we go inside the Toyota Center.

Women’s Elimination Chamber match: This winners of this match will be the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bayley and Sasha start off against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Bayley and Sasha start off strong with dropkicks and running knee strikes to the face in tandem, and then neckbreakers on Mandy and Sonya. Sonya looks for a shot in the corner, but Sonya reverses into a slam and pin for a two count. Mandy and Sonya miss kicks up against the cage wall and Sonya and Bayley drop them. The countdown starts, and Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan enter next. They immediately beat down Bayley and Sasha, then they fight with Mandy and Sonya. This leads to a big pyramid super-plex in the corner, and everyone is down. The Iiconics enter next and beat on the women who are all already down. The Iiconics start working over Sasha’s shoulder now and pin her for a two count. The Iiconics try to choke Sasha and Bayley up against the cage, then Peyton Royce somersaults over the top rope and kicks Bayley in the face. The countdown starts, and Carmella and Naomi are in next. Carmella and Naomi clean house and hit bronco busters on all their opponents in opposite corners. There’s a flurry of offense as everyone starts getting to their feet. Peyton hits a neckbreaker on Sasha, then Liv hits a facebuster on Peyton. Many Rose suplexes Liv, then Sarah hits a Fisherman’s suplex on Mandy. Sonya spears Sarah down, then Carmella superkicks her. Naomi and Mandy go at it now, and Naomi hits the running hip attack on her. The Iiconics double team Naomi and they both pin her at the same time for the three count. Naomi and Carmella are now eliminated.

The other teams surround the Iiconics now, but then the countdown starts and Nia Jax and Tamina enter. Nia and Tamina clean house and drop everyone in their sight. Tamina and Nia pin The Iiconics first, and The Iiconics are now eliminated. Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan starts fighting back against Nia and Tamina and they drop them both. They double team Tamina and pin, but Nia breaks it up. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose double team Nia now for a two count. Banks hits a running knee on Tamina in the corner, then her and Sasha double team Morgan and Logan. The Riott Squad climbs to the top of one of the pods now to avoid the chaos below as everyone goes at it. Banks and Bayley double team Morgan and Logan, then Nia drops them. Liv comes flying off the top with a splash on Nia on the cage floor. Nia and Tamina fight back and drop both Riott Squad members, then Tamina hits the splash off the top on both of them for the three count. The Riott Squad is now eliminated.

Nia charges at Bayley against a pod, but Bayley moves and Nia crashes in to the pod by herself. Bayley and Sasha now double team Tamina and pin her for the three count. Nia and Tamina are now eliminated. It’s down to Sasha and Bayley, against Mandy and Sonya. They all start brawling in the middle of the ring now. Banks and Bayley are able to double team Sonya and pin, but Mandy breaks it up. Mandy and Bayley start climbing the cage now to the top of a pod, and Sasha follows. Sonya climbs up now too, but Bayley kicks her down. Bayley hops down, and Sonya spears her into the pod. Mandy and Sasha come down from the pod next, and Mandy suplexes Sasha for a two count. Mandy and Sonya try to double team Sasha, but Sasha reverses it and drops them both. Sasha goes for the Banks Statement on Sonya and locks it in. Sonya taps out, and now Bayley and Sasha are the first women’s Tag Team Champions.

Winners & new Women’s Tag Team Champions: Bayley & Sasha Banks

– After the match, Bayley and Sasha do an in-ring interview where they cry while the crowd chants “you deserve it.” Sasha says there’s here to stay, and they’re going to change things forever.

– We go to a video package looking at The Miz and Shane McMahon’s history as a tag team. The Miz comes out to the stage and introduces his wife Maryse. Maryse announces that they are having another baby. Miz says he’s dedicating this match to his unborn child.

– The Miz & Shane McMahon (c) vs. The Usos: The Usos look for a double team superkick on The Miz early on, but The Miz dodges it and retreats to his corner to go over strategy with Shane. Shane tags in and takes out both Uso members, then he rolls up Jey for a two count. Shane hits a back elbow, then Miz tags in for the double team. They clothesline Jey to the outside, then they double team Jimmy. The Usos take a moment to regroup at ringside, and the Champions mock them from the ring. Back in the ring, The Usos turn things around and beat down The Miz. Jey hits a version of Miz’s patented running clothesline in the corner on The Miz. Jey wastes some time and Miz comes back with a clothesline of his own. Shane gets the tag and cleans house now. Shane hits DDTs on both Usos. Shane hits the coast to coast dropkick on Jimmy Uso, then he looks to do it to Jey, but Jey gets up and superkicks Shane out of the sky. Miz gets the tag and hits a springboard axe handle off the top on Jey. Miz wastes some time and Jey comes back with a Samoan drop. Uso looks for the butt bump in the corner, but Miz dodges it and hits a DDT for a two count. Miz rolls outside with Jey and they fight near the announce desk. Jimmy goes for a suicide dive on Miz, but Miz dodges and Jimmy crashes into Jey on the floor. Miz then superkicks Jimmy down. Miz puts Jey on the table and then Shane hits a flying elbow off the top down on to Jey on the announce table. Back in the ring, Jimmy and Miz go at it. Miz looks for the facebuster, but Jimmy escapes and hits a superkick. Jimmy misses a shot off the top, and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz is slow to pin, and Jimmy reverses the pin to steal the three count.

Winners & new Tag Team Champions: The Usos

– After the match, Miz helps Shane to his feet at ringside and walks him to the back.

– Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush do a brief interview backstage. Lio says Finn can’t win, even though in tonight’s handicap match he could pin Lio to win instead of pinning Lashley.

Bobby Lashley (c) & Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor: If Balor can pin either man, he wins the Intercontinental Title. Lio starts off and Lashley is on the apron. Before they engage, Lio backs off and tags in Lashley. Lashley immediately hits a knee to the midsection of Balor, and continues the offense with clubbing blows. Balor fights back with a series of kicks, and Lashley rolls outside to regroup with Lio. Back in the ring, Lashley comes back and slams Balor down. Balor starts fighting back, but he gets distracted by Lio, and Lashley slams Balor down. They fight on the apron and Balor knocks Lashley down to the floor. Balor looks for a suicidedive, but Lio grabs his foot from the apron. Balor chases Rush around the ring until Lashley tackles Balor down hard. Back in the ring, Lashley suplexes Balor down, then he tags in Lio. Lio kicks Balor while he’s down, then he tags Lashley back in. Lashley and Lio trade tags now to take turns beating on Balor. Balor fights back against Lio, so Lio rolls away and tags in Lashley. Lashley spears Balor into the corner, then hits a big slam and Balor is down. Lio tags in and goes for a frog splash, but Balor rolls out of the way. Balor knocks Lashley off the apron, then he throws Lio down and hits the Coup De Grace on him. Balor pins for the three count to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Winner & new Intercontinental Champion: Finn Balor

– After the bell, Lashley chases Balor out of the ring, and Balor celebrates up the ramp. Lashley does not look happy with Lio Rush now. Lashley grabs Lio by the neck, but lets go, and the crowd boos. Lashley changes his mind and picks Lio back up, then slams him down with a big spinebuster. Lashley heads to the back while Lio is down in the ring.

– We go to a video package looking at the Mark Henry documentary on the WWE Network tonight.

– Charlotte comes out to the ring for an interview. She says life is good when you’re Charlotte Flair, because she’s going to WresleMania. She says Becky should have learned by now, and she got herself suspended. She says Becky panders to the fans for their cheers and approval.

Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Ruby Riott: Charlotte is at ringside for this one. Ronda comes out dressed as Sonya from Mortal Kombat, as she’s doing voice acting for their new video game. Ronda starts off strong and throws down Ruby, then Ruby rolls outside for a breather. Ruby gets back in the ring but stalls and gets tied up in the ropes. Ronda finally gets a hold of her and throws her down to the mat, then Ronda applies the arm bar. Ruby taps out for the finish.

Winner & still RAW Women’s Champion: Ronda Rousey

– Ronda and Charlotte have a stare-down after the match. Charlotte steps into the ring and comes face to face with the Champion. The camera pans around and we see Becky Lynch on crutches in the crowd. Becky comes to ringside and in the ring with her crutches. Becky comes face to face with Charlotte and Ronda. Becky starts attacking Charlotte with a crutch, and Charlotte is down. Becky repeatedly hits Charlotte with a crutch as Ronda watches. Ronda picks up the other crutch, and it looks like she’s going to hit Charlotte with it, but then Becky attacks Ronda from behind. Becky pummels on Ronda with the crutch until security and referees get in the ring. Security helps walk Becky to the back. At ringside, it appears Ronda is bleeding from the side of her head.

Baron Corbin vs. Braun Strowman: This one is a No DQ match. Corbin imemediately uses a kendo stick to tee off on Strowman and take control in the opening moments. Corbin misses a clothesline and Braun fires back with punches. Braun and Corbin struggle over the kendo stick, but Braun takes it from him and breaks it over his knee. Braun yells that he doesn’t need the stick to beat his ass, and he clotheslines Corbin down. Corbin rolls outside, and Braun follows and tackles him into the fan barricade. Corbin throws an office chair at Braun, but Braun knocks the chair out of the air and continues chasing Corbin. Braun misses a shot and Corbin hits him with the ring steps. Corbin takes Braun back in the ring and wastes some time talking trash. Strowman comes back with a clothesline and a splash in the corner. Braun hits a big boot to the face, and Corbin is down. Braun grabs a table from under the ring and takes it in the ring, then he sets it up in the corner. Corbin pokes Braun in the eyes and boots him in the head. Corbin looks for a shot off the top, but Braun catches him and hits a running powerslam on Corbin through the table in the corner. Drew McIntyre comes out to interrupt. Drew comes out with a chair, but then Bobby Lashley runs in the ring and attacks Braun form behind. Lashley and Drew beat down Braun with the steel chairs now. Braun starts fighting back, but Lashley takes him down with a running spear. Drew and Bobby bring the ring steps into the ring now. Braun starts to fight off Lashley and McIntyre, until Corbin comes and hits Braun with a chair from behind. Lashley brings two more tables in the ring, while Drew beats on Braun. They set up the two tables stacked on top of each other in the middle of the ring. With the help of Drew and Baron, Lashley powerbombs Braun through both tables. Corbin pins for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

– We go backstage where Shane McMahon is being checked on by a trainer. The Miz freaks out and says he let everyone down tonight, and Shane tells him to chill out and go home.

– Lacey Evans comes out to the stage and walks halfway down the ramp, then she turns around and heads to the back.

Men’s Elimination Chamber match: Daniel Bryan’s WWE Title is on the line in this one. Before the match, Bryan and Rowan come out to the stage, and Bryan complains about being punished for trying to enlighten the masses. The referees order Rowan to go backstage as he isn’t allowed at ringside for this match. Bryan says the people and the planet need him, and he makes fun of the crowd’s “what” chants. Bryan and Samoa Joe start off. Bryan is hesitant to engage Joe early on, and he seems to be wanting to kill time until the next pod opens. Joe finally gets a hold of Bryan and connects with several leg kicks. Joe puts Bryan in a knee bar, but Bryan reaches the rope to break the hold. Bryan chops Joe to the chest, but Joe no-sells it and replies with a series of chops to Bryan’s chest. Joe powerbombs Bryan on the mat and then applies a Boston Crab. Joe moves into an STF and a crossface. Bryan finally breaks free and fights back. Joe shuts Bryan down with another big chop to the chest. Joe misses a shot and Bryan trips him into the middle turnbuckle. The countdown starts, and Kofi Kingston enters next. Kofi hits kicks on both Joe and Bryan, then he hits a springboard kick on Bryan. Kofi comes off the top with a splash on Joe for a one count. Bryan comes over and knees Kofi in the head for a two count. Bryan climbs to the top of his pod and sits on it, while Joe and Kofi brawl on the mat. Kofi climbs the turnbuckle and leaps up to Bryan’s pod with him. Kofi pummels on Bryan on top of the pod until Bryan climbs away along the cage. Kofi and Bryan trade kicks on the cage wall now, as Joe climbs up too. Joe yanks Bryan down to the cage floor, then Kofi kicks Joe down. Kofi climbs higher and then jumps down on to Joe and Bryan on the cage floor. Kofi hits a spinning back elbow to the face of Bryan for a two count. Joe drops Kofi and then hits a running senton on Bryan. More chops to the chest of Bryan from Joe, as the countdown starts again. AJ Styles enters next. AJ starts beating on everyone, and he hits a double DDT on Kofi and Bryan. AJ turns his attention to Joe and he hits a springboard forearm on Joe. Bryan starts climbing the cage, but AJ springboards off the top rope with a Phenomenal Forearm that knocks Bryan off the wall. Kofi and AJ start going at it, and AJ hits the fireman’s carry into a neckbreaker for a two count. Joe grabs AJ now and whips him into the cage wall, then throws him into the ring. AJ and Kofi brawl on the mat now, until Joe catches him in a choke. Kofi fights out with a jawbreaker, and then AJ immediately hits the Phenomenal Forearm on Joe for the three count. Samoa Joe is now eliminated.

The countdown starts, and Jeff Hardy enters next. Jeff immediately takes the fight to AJ and pins for a two count. AJ comes back with the Pele Kick on Jeff. Bryan and Kofi brawl on the outside next to the cage. AJ and Jeff fight on the turnbuckle, and Jeff drops AJ across the turnbuckle. Jeff goes up on top of a pod, and he hits the Swanton Bomb on AJ still laying on the turnbuckle. Jeff falls down to the mat, where Bryan immediately knees him in the face for the three count. Jeff Hardy is now eliminated.

Bryan now tees off on AJ in the corner with kicks. Bryan goes for a superplex on Kofi, but AJ comes up and suplexes Bryan from behind, sending Kofi crashing down to the mat too. The countdown starts, and Randy Orton enters next. Orton puts the boots to AJ in the corner, then he goes at it with Kofi. Orton drops Kofi, then he suplexes Bryan out to the cage floor. Kofi comes from behind and drops Orton, then AJ hits a backbreaker on Kofi. AJ looks for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Orton comes over and RKO’s AJ off the top rope. Orton pins for the three count, and AJ Styles is now eliminated. Kofi rolls up Orton from behind for a two count. Kofi goes up top but Orton takes him down. Orton hits a DDT on Kofi, and then he looks for the RKO, but Bryan comes over and Orton slams down Bryan instead. Kofi comes over and hits the Trouble In Paradise on Orton and pins for the three count. Orton is now eliminated, and it’s down to Kofi and Bryan.

Kofi looks for the Trouble In Paradise on Bryan, but Bryan ducks it and drops Kofi. Bryan hits the Yes Kicks, until Kofi ducks one. Kofi hits the SOS on Bryan for a two count. Bryan fights back now and pummels on Kofi in the corner. Kofi hits a series of running knee strikes in the corner on Kofi now. Kofi dodges one and hits a running double knee strike on Bryan for a two count. Bryan rolls out to the cage foor and Kofi follows. Kofi repeatedly slams Bryan into the cage wall now. Bryan counters a move and throws Kofi into one of the pods now, then rolls him back in the ring. Bryan hits the running knee to the face and pins, but Kofi kicks out at two. Bryan grabs Kofi by the arms now and repeatedly stomps on Kofi’s head. Bryan looks for another running knee to the face, but Kofi stops it with the Trouble In Paradise. Kofi pins but Bryan kicks out at two. Kofi comes back with the Yes Lock and then a crossface, but Kofi reaches the rope to break the hold. Bryan goes up top, but Kofi kicks him in the head. They fight up to the top of a pod now, and Kofi slams Bryan’s head into the wall. Kofi knocks Bryan down to the floor, and then Kofi goes flying off the top of the pod with a splash, but Bryan rolls out of the way. Bryan immediately hits the running knee to the face for the three count.

Winner & still WWE Champion: Daniel Bryan

– Rowan comes out and helps walk Bryan to the back after the match. Big E and Xavier Woods come down to the ring and help Kofi to his feet. The crowd chants “thank you Kofi” as he gets to his feet and The New Day heads to the back.
