WWE Extends Partnership, 600th SmackDown Does Low Numbers, NXT, More

– The Rock talked about on Twitter how he was recently in Hawaii filming “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” The movie was scheduled to come out on September 23rd but may not release until early 2012 and stars Rock, Kristin Davis, Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutcherson, Michael Caine and Luis Guzman. It’s the sequel to 2008’s Journey to the Center of the Earth.

 


 

– It was announced today that WWE and Score Media will expand their partnership with a multi-year agreement that will bring “more high-energy WWE entertainment than ever before to fans across Canada.”

– Stan sent word that there was 6 minutes and 47 seconds of in-ring action on the premiere of WWE NXT: Redemption, down from 10 minutes and 1 second on the season 4 finale.

– The February 16th 600th SmackDown tapings in San Diego, California drew 4,899 fans for $227,080. Considering this was the 600th episode with RAW stars plus the hometown star Rey Mysterio, these numbers are a bit low.
