WWE having issues with superstar morale

A lot is going on in WWE right now. Be it the controversy surrounding the Saudi Arabia event or there being a start of a wrestler’s union in the company, things are not simple.

It seems that all these complications backstage have caused superstars to be unhappy with the company. WWE has also incorporated a new tactic which keeps superstars from asking for their release.

Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that the overall mood backstage in the company is not good at all. Here is what he said:

“All I can tell you is that morale in WWE is so bad and I’ve heard it from multiple people and I’ve heard it like they’ll say that ‘morale is bad’ and I say, ‘I’ve heard’ and they’ll say. ‘no, really bad.’ So it’s probably the worst it’s ever been, I’m not sure. I know it was bad in the wake of the invasion. I know some people were unhappy for different reasons and obviously The Kliq made some people’s lives miserable and not everybody’s. In ’96, ’97, ’98 I know things turned around people were making a lot of money so maybe the early 90’s, but it’s bad.”

Hopefully, the morale backstage gets better. However, there are many factors that have led to this and just one thing can’t be pinpointed as the cause for this.
