TMZ reports that WWE is taking serious security measures to keep performer Maryse Ouellet safe after she received a series of ‘disturbing e-mails’ from an obsessed fan.
Company officials have added additional security personnel at recent events and plan to keep the extra protection in place as long as they feel there is a legitimate threat.
WWE has also taken additional security measures, but are being tight-lipped in order to make sure they are effective.
TMZ reported last week that the WWE Diva filed a request for a permanent restraining order against 61-year-old Lee Silber last week, claiming he has sent “numerous terrifying letters to my home and left more than 50 voicemails on my personal cell phone all of which are extremely disturbing and delusional.”
Maryse says Silber’s letters have gotten scarier over the last few weeks … with Silber promising that he will be “coming to LA for me” … and will “take me to heaven with him.”
