source: Pro Wrestling Torch

— One WWE insider considers the timing of Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s promotion as Vince McMahon’s senior advisor interesting. The source questioned whether Levesque being named to a position he’s been essentially doing for the past several years minus the official title is related to World Wrestling Entertainment being investigated for misclassifying talent and other personnel as independent contractors.

The company’s Stamford, Connecicut based headquarters recently underwent a slight renovation as an office was built for Levesque as a result of his executive position.

“It was Extreme Makeover: Hunter Edition,” cracked the WWE source.

— An episode of the drama program Caprica is scheduled to air during NXT’s 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night timeslot on Syfy on October 5.

NXT is currently scheduled to air its final episode this Tuesday. No announcement has been made regarding a future channel for the show.

— Stephanie McMahon celebrates her 34th birthday today. She is out on maternity leave following the birth of her third child last month.

I think it’s funny once the “F” in he WWF got taken away and it was replaced with “E” they started moving away from the attitude era slowly. But I don’t look at the name World Wrestling Entertainment and think man that’s pretty hardcore. I look at World Wrestling Federation as think by the name it’s going to be good to watch. It was just like World Championship Wrestling, you watched it because they had a lot of past champions from the cruiser weight title with Jericho, Kidman, Rey Jr and alot of the mexican wrestlers. Then having Benoit, Booker T, Fit Finely and others going for the TV title and that was a title people wanted to carry. I think the WWE needs to take the approach WCW took for many years and have a few successful years before they had to switch it up again. But that won’t happen until LM is out of the race and not willing to do anything else but be a grandma.

I find it very odd that the WWE is being investigated for this, after the courts in the same state dismissed a case against them for the very same thing. Regardless of the reasons though, I’m glad to see this being brought to light and discussed. The WWE has skirted the law for many years in the way they have treated the wrestlers.
