WWE Lawyers Stop a Sgt. Slaughter Sponsorship Deal, More on Pot Use in WWE

– There are reports coming out of WWE that the crackdown on marijuana has somewhat subsided. Some users who had gone clean due to pressure from the WWE office are no longer feeling that pressure.

– Apparently WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter was offered a sponsorship deal with Hasbro for the G.I. Joe franchise that even had Vince McMahon’s approval until the WWE attorneys nixed it, fearing that Jakks Pacific could sue over violating the exclusivity. WWE is still in a lame duck relationship with Jakks until their deal with Mattel starts.
