WWE to make changes to announced Championship match at WrestleMania?

WWE announced that The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor at WrestleMania during the latest episode of Raw, though it appears that this match is not set in stone yet.

Pwinsider is reporting that the “word making the rounds” backstage on this week’s episode of the Red Branded Show was that more wrestlers could be added to this bout.

It’s worth mentioning here that according to original reports from Sports Illustrated the IC title match was expected to be a Fatal Five Way including Elias and Braun Strowman as the final two participants.

However, Wrestling Observer reports that WWE is keeping Strowman free in case he is needed to replace Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania main event in wake of the impending Steroid Scandal report from filmmaker Jon Bravo.

Adding this all up, it looks like WWE is waiting for Bravo to release his report and see its reaction before announcing Strowman’s match for WrestleMania.

I like Braun, but I’m not sure he’s WrestleMania Main Event ready!

  • Arnold Jackson

It’s been building that way for a year

  • Nicholas Giambattista

It would really hurt WM 34 more then help it. They already been building the story the last 2 Raw.

  • Darrin Tyler

Sports Illustrated has never been a legit source. They have no respect for wrestling

  • Nicholas Giambattista

May I add that John Cena also doesn’t have an opponent at Wrestlemania. I think Cena vs Strowman might really be happening an Strowman will win of course.

What about the #brocklesner reference? They need to be worried about that as much as anything.

  • Arnold Jackson

Reigns was already suspended for the steroid thing. To do anything else is pure BS.
