– The packaging for WWE’s new Sting DVD and Blu-ray that came out today features a noticeable error, at least to hardcore fans of Sting. On the back of the box, there is a photo of the impostor version of Sting, seen below:

In September 1996, the nWo put one over on WCW supporters by having Jeff Farmer, who had been wrestling as Cobra, dress as Sting and attack Lex Luger. It later came out that there was a “fake Sting,” played by Farmer. In 1997, he traveled back and forth to New Japan Pro Wrestling where he was a part of nWo Japan. That’s where the photo comes from.
