WWE making big changes to PPVs?

When WWE first announced the return of Brand Split, they also brought back brand exclusive PPVs, however, this setup hasn’t worked very well for them.

We noted before how the company reduced the number of PPVs for 2018 due to mediocre interest in the shows and now it appears that they will be making another major change to their special shows.

A fan who has bought the ticket for the upcoming Backlash PPV noted to Wrestlinginc that he was informed by that the show which was originally scheduled to be a Raw-exclusive PPV will now be a dual brand event.

Shortly after this, Wrestlevotes twitter account, which has broken a few stories in recent times claimed that starting from Backlash, all the PPVs will be dual-branded:

While we still don’t have an official confirmation on this, considering the negative reaction many PPVs received last year it wouldn’t be a big surprise if the company actually has this announcement in mind. We’ll keep you posted on any development in the situation.

They still will have the Brand Spilt because there to many wrestlers that will not be push. But cutting back on the PPV I agree gives the WWE a better chance at building up the PPV.

Not surprising. It was fun while it lasted but got old very quick.
