WWE to move forward on Tag Titles for 205 Live?

For the past month, rumors have been swirling around 205 Live, specifically about a possible tag division. It seems, now, that those rumors might have been confirmed via legal documents filed by the WWE recently.

It was reported by TMZ earlier in the week that WWE had filed legal documents in an effort to fight bootleggers of their merchandise in New Orleans. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet stated yesterday that, in those documents, WWE submitted some designs for upcoming merchandise and titles, one of which was a design for a Cruiserweight Tag Title.

PWS shared a picture of the document, which can be seen below.

205 Live has recently been pushing the idea of a tag division with GM Drake Maverick booking several tag matches between Akira Tozawa & Hideo Itami and Kalisto, Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik. While not officially stating that he will be making a tag division, it’s clear that Maverick’s mind is heading in that direction.

So after the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion is crowned at WrestleMania 34, it looks like the show will be moving on to another tournament.
