More on the WWE Network – Advertising, Prices to Change?, Pay-Per-View, Talents Concerned

– As noted, the WWE Network is currently listed at $9.99 per month with a “six month purchase.” As of now, that will be the only price option but it’s expected that WWE can and will change that as the Network evolves.

– There will be some advertising and commercials on the Network as well as sponsorships for specific events.

– One of the discussions among WWE talents privately is how pay-per-view bonuses will change with the Network launching, if at all.

– While WWE will be showing all 12 live pay-per-view events on the Network, pay-per-views will still be available via cable and satellite TV.

I hear a lot of people complaining that there are people who have cable but no internet (is that normal?). That tells me that there will still be a significant amount of people that don’t sign up for the network that will be paying the $50 PPV rate. In addition to that, you will have the network subscribers, which will probably sell more PPVs in the long run. I don’t see how they’re going to lose money/bonuses. WWE will easily be making millions a month from network subscriptions alone.

In its defense, what the’re charging for six months is worth a PPV or two. You get six months of those, plus additional content within the network.

How will it effect the way that I illegally stream it every month?
