WWE NXT Report – 4/3/14

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom ‘Welcome to the Happiest Place on Canvas’ Phillips, Renee ‘I get to start off the show’ Young, Byron ‘I get to sit next to Renee tonight’ Saxton, and William ‘Let him work Wrestlemania’ Regal.

 


 

Match Number One: Emma versus Sasha Banks (with Charlotte and Summer on a Stick)

Emma wants to duke it out but she avoids Sasha for a lock up. Emma with a drop toe hold and side head lock. Sasha with a forearm to the ribs but Emma with a shoulder tackle. Emma lies down next to Sasha when she drops down. Emma with a hammer lock but Shasha with an elbow and she tries for a slam but Emma escapes and she slams Sasha and gets a near fall.

Sasha sends Emma into the turnbuckles and then Sasha stands on Emma’s back in the corner. Sasha with a boot to the back and chest. Sasha with more kicks to Emma and then she mocks Emma’s dancing. Sasha slams Emma’s head to the mat and she gets a near fall.

Sasha with a slam but she misses a leg drop when Emma moves. Emma moves when Sasha charges into the corner and Emma with the DilEmma. Emma rolls to the opposite side of the ring and she marches before hitting a cross body in the corner for a near fall.

Charlotte gets on the apron with Summer on a Stick. Sasha tries to run Emma into Charlotte but Charlotte is knocked off the apron. Emma takes Sasha down and applies the Emma Lock and Sasha taps out.

Winner: Emma

After the match, Charlotte tries to attack Emma, but she gets out of the ring.

Tom mentions that Mojo Rawley will be on next week’s show, but we have a video package for Mojo.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Viktor and Konnor versus Jonny Vandal and Jack Hurley in a Non Title Match

Hurley and Viktor start off and Viktor with a forearm and then he sends Hurley into Vandal in the corner. Viktor sends Vandal into the ring and Viktor hits a flying shoulder tackle. Konnor tags in and he slams Vandal into the ropes. Konnor picks up Vandal and does the same thing again. Konnor picks up Vandal and slams him a third time into the ropes.

Konnor kicks Hurley away from the corner and then Konnor with a splash into the corner and then he tags in Viktor. They hit the Fall of Man and get the three count.

Winners: Konnor and Viktor

We go to commercial.

We are back and Eden Stiles has told us that Tyler Breeze has entered the building.

Match Number Three: Xavier Woods versus Brodus Clay in a Battle of the Right to Use this Music Match

Woods with a drop kick and forearm followed by kicks and a back heel kick. Woods with kicks to the chest but Brodus blocks a kick and hits a T-Bone suplex and then he punches Woods in the corner. Clay with a heart punch and a butt splash in the corner. Clay walks across Woods’ chest and then he does a seated splash for a near fall.

Clay with an Irish whip and splash into the corner followed by a modified brainbuster and he gets a near fall. Clay with a nerve hold. Xavier with punches, a chop and forearms. Woods with a boot and a drop kick to the knee. Woods with a running knee to the head and he gets a near fall. Woods climbs the turnbuckles and he punches Clay. Clay pushes him off and Clay with a head butt to the chest. Clay with a power bomb and then he goes to the turnbuckles and hits a splash for the three count.

Winner: Brodus Clay

After the match, Clay takes the mic and he tells the WWE that they took everything from him. They took his music, his girls, and his tag team partner. Worst of all, you took his dignity and pride. He is going to take things now. He will take Adrian Neville’s title when the man that gravity forgets feels his gravitational pull.

We go to Devin Taylor and she is with Adrian Neville. She congratulates him on his victory last week. Adrian thanks her and he says that he wants to talk about Brodus. Brodus isn’t getting the chance on Raw or Smackdown and he wants to come here to take the title.

Adrian says no and he tells Brodus that they are the future of the WWE and they are as good as anyone on Raw or Smackdown. Here you earn chances. Brodus might be a monster, but Adrian says that he is a fighting champion and if Brodus earns an opportunity, he will be here.

Tyler Breeze is getting ready for later tonight while looking at himself in his phone. We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Yoshi Tatsu versus Tyler Breeze

They lock up and Yoshi with a side head lock and a waist lock. Tyler with a standing switch followed by a punch and kicks in the corner. The referee warns Tyler. Yoshi with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot and Tyler with a snap mare and kicks to the back. Breeze gets a near fall. Breeze with a reverse chin lock.

Yoshi with elbow and chops. Breeze with a shot to the head and then he punches Yoshi. Breeze with a standing Beauty Shot for the three count.

Winner: Tyler Breeze

Tom reminds us of what happened to Sami Zayn two weeks ago. Byron mentions that Sami was diagnosed with a concussion but he is fine now after taking the impact test.

Sami is with Devin Taylor and she asks him about his match tonight. Sami says that he is fine. He got his bell rung. He is fine now and the doctors have cleared him. He is fine physically. The only person who has to worry about things tonight is Corey Graves.

Corey is asked about Sami Zayn. He calls Sami NXT’s resident underdog. There was a little dog that got caught in a trap. He struggled to get out until the wolves showed up.

We go to commercial with a video package for Paige.

Paige is asked about Charlotte and whether she is a threat. Paige says that she knew people would get in her face because she is the Champion. They wouldn’t let her have her moment on the first WWE Network live event. They would not let her have her moment. If Charlotte wants to come at her and she needs to stop hiding behind her daddy and come at her on her own.

Match Number Five: Sami Zayn versus Corey Graves

Graves stays in the corner until he is ready in an attempt to get into Zayn’s head. Graves goes into the ropes before they lock up to continue to get into Zayn’s head. Graves goes into the ropes again and the referee holds Zayn back. Graves has an evil smile on his face as Zayn is kept away. They finally lock up and then Graves goes into the ropes one more time but Zayn with a shot to Graves.

Graves goes to the floor after avoiding a collar and elbow tie up. The referee starts his count and Graves goes up the ramp momentarily. Zayn goes after Graves on the floor and Graves with a punch. Zayn sends Graves into the apron and they return to tehr ing. Zayn with a forearm to the back but Graves tries for a kick and Zayn blocks it. Zayn spins him around and chops Graves.

Zayn with chops and punches in the corner. Zayn with a back body drop and Zayn clotheslines Graves over the top rope to the floor. Zayn sets for a dive to the floor and he hits a flip dive onto Graves. Zayn with a side head lock on the floor and Graves tries to send Zayn into the ring post but Zayn stops short and he elbows Graves.

Graves returns to the ring and then goes to the apron. Zayn with a punch to Graves but Graves fires back and Graves with a knee to the head. Graves with forearms to the head and we go to commercial.

We are back and Graves with a suplex for a near fall. Graves with a rear chin lock. Zayn gets to his feet but Graves pulls him to the mat. Graves with a forearm to the head and he gets a near fall. Zayn with forearms but Graves with punches. Zayn says that he is okay. Zayn misses a chop and Graves with a punch. Zayn misses again and Graves with punches and an elbow drop to the head. Graves gets a near fall.

Graves returns to the reverse chin lock and he uses his body weight for extra pressure on Zayn. Zayn with a jawbreaker and then the referee checks on Zayn before Graves connects with a boot to the head. The referee checks on Zayn again and Graves with a series of knee drops to the head and he gets a near fall.

Graves with forearms and kicks followed by punches to Zayn. Graves runs Zayn into the turnbuckles and then Graves reapplies the reverse chin lock. Graves adds extra pressure to the chin lock but getting off the mat and putting his weight on Zayn.

Zayn with a double leg take down and a jackknife cover for a near fall. Zayn with clotheslines but Graves with a sit out front driver for a near fall. Graves tries for Lucky Thirteen but Zayn kicks him away. Graves with a back breaker out of a fireman’s carry position for a near fall. Zayn struggles to get to his feet while Graves waits for him.

Graves is caught by Zayn and Zayn with an Exploder suplex into the turnbuckles for a near fall. Zayn tries for the Blue Thunder Bomb but Graves fights it off momentarily but Zayn hits the Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Graves is the one who struggles to get to his feet and Zayn tries for the Helluva Kick but Graves blocks it. Graves and Zayn bump heads and both men are down.

Graves runs into an elbow from Zayn. Zayn with a knee and he goes to the turnbuckles but he has trouble balancing himself. Zayn with a forearm and then Zayn cannot stay on the turnbuckles. The referee checks on Zayn and Zayn punches Graves. The referee lets the match continue but Graves with a shot to the temple and Zayn goes down.

Graves applies Lucky Thirteen and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Corey Graves

After the match, the medical staff goes to the ring to check on Zayn.

We go to credits.
