WWE Planning More Fan Fests, WrestleMania 30 Location, Briscoes

– It’s said that WrestleMania 30 is now pretty much confirmed for the Superdome in New Orleans, which would be the first time a pro wrestling show had been held there since WCW Nitro on June 21st, 1999. The official announcement is expected to come in February at Elimination Chamber, also from New Orleans.

– The WWE Royal Rumble Fan Fest was such a success that they have decided to do the same thing with all big four pay-per-views – Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. Because the Rumble Fan Fest was an experiment, it will be much bigger next year and beyond, like the WrestleMania Axxess events.

– Top indy tag team The Briscoe Brothers won’t be attending the WWE tryout camp this week after all as they are still under contract to Ring of Honor. Adam Cole is expected to attend the tryout.

Should have been at Cowboys Stadium so it can set a new world indoor attendance record like it did at the Pontiac Silverdome for Wrestlemania III. It still holds the record for the largest crowd to ever see a wrestling event, but the NBA took the overall record back in 2010 with the All-Star Game having 108,000 people at Cowboys Stadium.

I’m surprised that with it being the 30th anniversary it isn’t being held at MSG. They’ve held Wrestlemania’s back-to-back in the same city before (Atlantic City.)

Should have been in Detroit, since Detroit had the two highest fan totals for a Mania event (Pontiac Silverdome and Ford Field).
