WWE planning to go with the “double main event” for WrestleMania 35

Ronda Rousey mentioned on Raw last night that Becky had robbed the Women’s Evolution of its first main event at WrestleMania as part of her storyline with Stephanie McMahon, so why did later Michael Cole mention Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar will main event the “Show of Shows?” Dave Meltzer’s take:

“… they’re gonna call both of them main events. That doesn’t mean – I’m presuming the women’s match will be last, but – it’s Vince, so I also presume that decision won’t be made until the week of the show, because you know, that’s usually when they make those decisions. But it’s not, even though Becky said main event… that’s not a lock they’re going on last just yet.”

A final decision still seems to be a few weeks away and time will tell if the notion of ‘listening to the fans’ will actually be followed through.

  • Sadly this is how they feel.

  • There is only 1 main event, regardless of what WWE says. anything that isn’t the last match on the show is semi-main event at best, and anybody who thinks Becky vs Ronda will be that last match hasn’t been paying attention. I love Becky, she’s the best thing in wrestling right now. But, at the end of the day, Vince is set in his ways and he will not let that match go on last. Think other-wise? Get ready for serious disappointment.

Tag Title, Intercontinental, United States, Women’s Division, WWE and Universal… so technically, 6.

There’s no selling point here. All matches at Wrestlemania are Main Events from every Category. Even the women have already had their own main event spot.

There actually maybe 3 Main Event keep forgetting about the WWE title.
