1. Santino Marella beat Chavo Guerrero. Santino worked the hand cobra gimmick. Hot crowd for Santino. Alot of two counts. Santino got out the “cobra” then hit roll up to win. Good opener. Full of comedy and great spots.

2. Paul Burchill defeated Johnny Curtis. Curtis cut a promo about who he is and how we should continue to watch Raw and we would find out. Burchill was mostly on offense. They were trying Burchill as a face. It worked pretty well. The crowd was quiet for most of the match. Burchill won with a suplex into a bridge. I saw Burchill mouth to an agent that he was hurt.

Gail Kim came out and ask a kid a how many people are in the Royal Rumble match. He said 30 and got to be the bell ringer for the next match.

3. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase defeated Evan Bourn and Mark Henry. Comedy in the beginning with people tagging in and out. Legacy worked over Evan. Evan finally tagged
Henry. He cleaned house but was eventually distracted. Rhodes hit the Crossroads on Evan for the win.

4. The Miz defeated Jack Swagger and Chris Masters in a Triple Threat to retain the U.S. Championship. Miz did promo about winning the Rumble. Swagger and Masters are both hot with this Chattanooga crowd. Swagger and Miz teamed up on Masters, who threw them both out of the ring. Masters tried the Master Lock on Miz, but Swagger kicked Masters. After a few minutes, Masters locked swagger in the Master Lock. Miz snuck up and hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

5. The Bella Twins defeated Alicia Fox and Maryse. A guy in the crowd had a sign that read, “Maryse has nice golden globes.” Maryse took it from him put it in her corner. Maryse and Bella No. 1 locked up and the ref got between them. They fell and rolled on him. Lucky ref. Not a terribly exciting match. The Bellas won with a face buster.

Hornswoggle came out and threw t-shirts before intermission.

5. Big Show defeated MVP. Show unzipped MVP outfit and hushed the crowd an chopped him HARD!! Slow match. Big Show won with a choke slam.

6. Randy Orton defeated Kofi Kingston. Kofi got a HUGE pop. Orton worked over Kofi pretty bad. Kofi had a few comebacks. Kofi hit the leg drop and then Trouble in Paradise, but Orton rolled out. Kofi brought him back in for a two count. Orton hit the RKO. Kofi kicked out at two barely. Randy hit the RKO again for the win.

Sheamus came out and said, “You can boo me all you want, but I’m still WWE champ.” He said he can beat ANYONE in the locker room. Triple H’s music hit.

7. Triple H defeated Sheamus by DQ in a WWE Championship match. The crowd loved HHH. Back and forth match. HHH put Sheamus in a Figure Four. Sheamus rolled out and sold it well, then threw HHH into the ring steps. A really slow match at first. After a few fast moves and a lot of signature moves and close calls, Sheamus left the ring and got a chair.

The ref tried to take the chair and Sheamus threw him out. HHH hit the Pedigree and covered Sheamus, but the ref was still out. A second ref ran in for the three count just as the first ref called for the bell to give Hunter the win by DQ. HHH grabbed the chair but said no and then went for the sledgehammer. Hunter knocked out Sheamus cold. The fans went nuts and threw drinks, glowsticks, and even a cellphone.

Notes: Great show overall. The fans were hot most of the time, and the wrestlers really interacted with fans which is good to see. The advertised matches were Orton vs. Kofi, Big Show vs. Hunter in a Tennessee street fight, and Sheamus defending the WWE Championship against Mark Henry.
