More WWE releases coming soon?

Raw vs SmackDown WWE

As seen on WWE Programming this week, 5 female NXT Stars made their surprise debut on the main roster along with the much-awaited return of Paige.

While the addition of these 6 women is expected to make the Women’s division more interesting, it appears that it’s might also be concerning for some stars.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that the arrival of these new stars has left a lot of margin talents nervous because it could result in some of them being released from the roster:

“With six new women characters all starting at once, that has left a lot of marginal talent nervous about spots because when there are a lot of additions there are likely some subtractions coming.”

While this isn’t a clear indication that some more WWE releases similar to the recent release of Emma are coming soon, it’s mentionable that the company is still in the budget cut mode.

Considering the fact that currently there are a number of female competitors who are barely used or not used at all, it shouldn’t be a big surprise if WWE parts ways with several more female talents in near future.

I bet you nobody gets release which means this is a waste. I said this once already David know nothing about Pro Wrestling.

If anything, Alicia Fox should go. She may be a “veteran” now, but she is a botch-fest in the ring. Several moves and botched pin at Survivor Series. Awful.

If the women coming up are to bolster the female roster on both shows, then the most likely releases will actually be male wrestlers as there will be less time for them on the card.
Bringing up 5 new females then releasing other females makes zero sense.

Releasing women now makes no sense. The entire point of bringing up the new ones was to give the women’s roster more depth!

The old bait and switch, huh WrestlingEdge… cute
