WWE Releases Video Of Lilian Garcia Tripping At This Week’s SmackDown Taping

SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia has had a little trouble staying on her feet at recent WWE shows, most recently during Tuesday’s SmackDown taping at The O2 Arena in London, England.

On this occasion, Garcia tripped over pyrotechnics equipment and fell to her knees while making her way to the ring for the taping. WWE released footage of her misfortune within hours, which features audio of commentator Michael Cole howling in laughter.

Garcia is finding humor in her latest accident. She posted a link to the video on Twitter and wrote, “London bridge is falling down…no, actually I’m falling down! Tripped & fell in my entrance 2night on #SmackDown! LOL.”

As WWE says, Garcia can’t seem to catch a break: it is her third embarrassing incident in recent weeks. Similarly to Tuesday’s mishap, Garcia suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the March 14 SmackDown taping as her shoe broke while making her ring entrance. As well, WWE released footage of Garcia’s blunder with Cole crowing hysterically. Garcia was ridiculed again at the following week’s SmackDown taping as John Cena denounced her ring announcing ability after having erroneously introduced Zack Ryder as “Jack Swagger.”

damn, she has bad luck. i think in Jillians case they just pick on her just to raise the morale in the locker room. nothing wrong with that unless she is hurt by it. stuff like that is everywhere. i bet she just wants to do her job anyway and go home too as she has things on her mind. people who keep on making fun after the 3rd day the incident happened would be annoying, i dont care if they never got a chance to go to her.

Listen up rejects. It’s called being fucking unprofessional. These don’t seem to be things they’re doing as part of a storyline. They’re doing them because Vince thinks it’s funny. It’s the only reason WWE does anything most days, it all depends on what Vince finds entertaining. If a character or wrestler doesn’t get pushed or doesn’t make it? It’s because Vince didn’t find it entertaining.

He acts like the biggest spoiled brat on earth, and no, before some conservatard tries to say “It’s his company, he can do whatever he wants”, NO, actually, that’s not how it works. If you own a business, that does not give you the right to act like an asshole to your employees, just because you’re paying them. Being an asshole is being an asshole, period.

And for them to bother rehiring her at all, just to do this kind of shit, is pretty fucking lame. And it isn’t JUST Lillian. They’ve been doing degrading things to their “Divas” and other female personalities for years, in case you’ve been under a rock. Even back in the 80s.

And finally, yes, it is indeed a pertinent point that WWE supports this “Don’t be a bully” campaign, and then turns around and does shit like this to Lillian, which does in fact constitute as “bullying”, whether she tries to take it in good humor or not. Vince McMahon (and HHH as well) IS a bully, arguably the biggest in the history of the business. So he has no place telling little kids not to bully others. It’s a great sentiment, and little kids DO need to be taught from a young age not to bully each other, because bullying is painful and can lead to some terrible things. But WWE isn’t the company to be preaching the message….it just comes off as disingenuous.

“No one, no one, no one, NO ONE likes a bully. Whether it’s verbal, physical, or cyber bully. There’s no place for bullying. Not in school, in the playground, or on the internet. Join The Creative Coalition, the NEA, GLAAD, and the WWE as we PUT AN END to bullying, once and for all. Don’t be a bully, be a star. Show tolerance and respect.” -WWE

    @ fivo

They also have made fun of Lilian for implying she had a horse face. And when JR finally does start writing books, he can write a book solely on all the times he’s been bullied by WWE.

I argee I really don’t see really how it funny

  • Best In The World

wasnt really a wardrob thing just her shoes breaking, shes still one hot lady

  • Wife Beater 3:16

@moo I agree, but when it happens to someone you know personally, it’s hilarious.

  • moo

man michael cole is easily amused, that really wasn’t that funny.

  • Ron Damon

@fivo goes west. Actually, in this P.C. age, doing anything without a person’s consent could be considered “bullying”.
Me, personally, I believe that some bad experiences put some hair in your chest.

  • fivo goes west

I’m sorry but how is releasing video footage or poking at a mistake considered bullying? So they made some fun of her when she makes a mistake. its not like they are intimidating her. what’s wrong with that? People like stevie p I can’t tell if you’re trying to be funny or if you’re actually being serious cause if you are then your just being a pussy…..oh no am I being a bully now???

  • Hasan

wtf?! Yet another mishap involving Lilian?

  • yo

Racist WWE making this video unavailable in Canada.

  • Stevie P

WWE – “Hey let’s bully Lilian!”

WWE (To the kids) – “Be a star! Don’t bully!”
