WWE reportedly interested in signing former Champion from Impact Wrestling

Rockstar spud WWE

It was reported yesterday by several sites that Impact Wrestling has released former X Division Champion Rockstar Spud from his contract after Spud requested for it.

However, a new report from Pwinsider has made things interesting and it appears that the release from Impact has opened doors of a new opportunity for the former TNA Star.

According to the site, WWE is interested in signing the former Champion to their Cruiserweight Division and be featured on the Cruiserweight Exclusive show 205 Live.

Rockstar Spud started working for TNA back in 2012 after he won the first season of TNA’s TV reality shows British Bootcamp. He last wrestled for the company back in May this year.

No word yet on if both these parties have had any talks or if any deal has been offered to Spud but we’ll keep you posted if any new details come to light.

Hopefully the same doesn’t happen to him. An NXT run would do him more justice than the main roster.

Magnus may yet end up in WWE his wife is a future hall of famer so the door is open to talks anyway.

Yeah, but I have been a fan of Spud since way back on the UK scene, long before he ever signed with TNA, so for me I actually got the win this time. When it was Jax and Neville (another guy I followed long before he hit the big time), I lost out ha ha

I did but I actually want to see Magnus in a WWE ring, never cared for Spud.

Been a fan of Spud for a decade or more now, so would love to see him finally make it to WWE, even if it is on the 205 live roster.

Did you not see the same thing done with Nia Jax returning, and they put up a picture of her and Neville saying something like “Superstar returns to Raw tonight.”?

  • ROB-1.

Maybe Spud can team up with Enzo!

Cruel tease with Magnus in the photo..
