WWE reportedly moving NXT on TV to compete with AEW

So far WWE has been taking subtle shots at AEW but it appears that the company is now gearing up to compete with the promotion directly.

According to reports from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE is looking to move NXT to TV and putting it against the announced TNT show of the upstart promotion.

The development brand of the company is expected to be stretched to 2 hours and broadcasted live on USA Network on Wednesday nights after these changes.

NXT’s premiere on Cable Network is reportedly scheduled for 18th September and it’s believed that the company will be making an announcement for the same very soon.

With WWE finally deciding to compete with AEW, it would be interesting to see how Officials from All Elite Wrestling react to the news and what moves they make to take on the Black and Yellow brand.
