If you haven’t yet heard about the effort WWE is putting to make the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble one of the best events they have ever held, then we got the perfect story for you.
During the latest episode of his X-Pac 1,2,360 podcast, host Sean “X-Pac” Waltman talked about the upcoming event and discussed how WWE is throwing an insane amount of money for the show.
Continuing on the topic, he revealed that the company even tried to offer the WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels a spot at the upcoming show:
“You know they wanted to get Shawn, and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me’. Cause there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that and that’s all there is to it’. So good for him.”
Michaels retired from active competition 8 years ago and while there have been rumors of him having one more match; we have never heard any story of Shawn being interested in returning to the ring.
Even after this, if the company turned to him with an offer for an in-ring return, then it’s enough to show that Greatest Royal Rumble is really an all hands on the deck show for WWE and they are leaving no stone unturned in an effort to make it big.
