Zelina Vega all but saved Andrade Almas’ NXT career. The former La Sombra was a hot commodity coming into the developmental brand, but fell flat and pretty quickly fell to the bottom of the card. However, after the introduction of Zelina Vega, Almas not only started to win, but had a serious character change, and has risen to the level of NXT Champion in a short amount of time.
Vega has received tons of praise from fans and wrestling personalities alike. AJ Lee, for example, gave her blessing to Vega, who will be playing her in the upcoming Paige biopic.

It seems that the WWE Brass is a fan of Vega as well, according to Slice Wrestling on Twitter.
It’s been reported that Vega has impressed the officials backstage, and they plan on keeping her in her managerial role with Almas for a long time to come, and will even accompany him to the main roster. Word broke first through Slice, which broke the news of Daniel Bryan’s clearing two days before it was announced.
