WWE Scouting Talent in Russia, Notes from WWE’s Trip to Asia

– WWE sent more camera man than wrestlers to China for the tour this past weekend, to document the trip on video.

– WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki took Dean Malenko and John Laurinaitis out to dinner while the company was in Japan last week. The impression is that no serious business talks took place. Inoki was interested earlier this year in co-promoting a show with WWE overseas.

– Ty Bailey, who works under John Laurinaitis in WWE talent relations, was in Russia last week scouting for potential talent. Bailey attended a M-1 MMA show and talked about making connections for WWE to run shows in Russia as well as possibly training some of the younger M-1 fighters for WWE, mentioning fighter Vikor Nemkov in particular.
