WWE SmackDown Live results 4/25/17

Here are the results from tonight’s (Tues. April 25, 2017) episode of WWE SmackDown Live (courtesy of PWInsider):

We are in Des Moines, Iowa and your announcers are Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and John Layfield.

Renee Young is in the ring and she brings out Shinsuke Nakamura.
Renee starts to ask Nakamura a question and Dolph Ziggler’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

Dolph says if you want to play interview, let’s play interview.  Dolph asks Nakamura for his influences.

Dolph stops Nakamura’s answer and Dolph says he will translate for Shinsuke.  He says that his favorite is Dolph Ziggler.  Dolph asks Shinsuke what is going through his mind when he does those dance moves during his entrance.

Nakamura refuses to answer.

Dolph says that Nakamura is intimidated being in the presence of his hero.  Dolph says Nakamura is not who he says he is.  Dolph says his name is Michael and he grew up in Gary, Indiana.  Dolph says Michael and his family sang and danced around the world.  Dolph talks more about the Jackson Five and he says that Nakamura was the weirdo in his family.  Dolph continues to go through Michael Jackson’s life and he says that his best friend is a monkey named Bubbles.  He dipped into obscurity but re-emerged in Japan under the alias Shinsuke Nakamura.  Dolph says it translates to petty, pathetic, overrated freak.

Nakamura takes the mic back and he says it is his turn to ask the questions.  He asks Dolph what is his problem.  

Nakamura takes the mic away from Dolph and says he says he will translate for Dolph.  Nakamura speaks in Japanese and ends with Jackass.

Ziggler kicks Nakamura in the midsection but he misses a super kick.  Nakamura with a reverse exploder and he sets for Kinshasa but Ziggler gets out of the ring.

AJ Styles and Baron Corbin walk in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and the Face of America Kevin Owens joins the commentary team for the next match.  Kevin is asked about his match with Chris Jericho on Sunday but Kevin says that Chris will not be joining him on the Kevin Owens Show next week because Chris will lose on Sunday.

Match Number One:  AJ Styles versus Baron Corbin

Styles avoids Corbin when Corbin wants to lock up.  Styles with a waist lock but Corbin escapes.  Corbin blocks a kick and sends AJ to the mat.  Styles goes for a rollup but Corbin blocks it.  Styles with a side head lock.  Styles holds on to the side head lock while Corbin tries to send Styles off the ropes.  Styles lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt by Corbin and Styles returns to the side head lock.  Corbin backs Styles into the corner and Corbin misses a punch and Styles returns to the side head lock.  Corbin with punches and Styles goes for a shoulder tackle but Styles is bounced back to the ropes and Corbin kicks Styles to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Corbin with a quarter nelson and chin lock.  We see footage from the commercial break when Corbin sent Styles high into the air on a back body drop.  We return to the live action and Styles with punches.  Corbin sends Styles into the corner and Styles goes for a kick but Corbin slides to the floor and Corbin hits a choke breaker for a near fall when he gets back into the ring.  Corbin with forearms to Styles.  

Styles is put on the turnbuckles and Corbin yells at the referee before climbing the turnbuckles to set for a superplex.  Styles slides under and drops Corbin on the turnbuckles and hits a Pele Kick.  Styles with a flying clothesline into the corner and then he connects with a series of strikes and hits a sliding clothesline and gets a near fall.  Styles sets for the Styles Clash but Corbin counters.  Styles goes for the Calf Crusher but Corbin holds on to the ropes.

Owens gets up from the announce table and Styles with a kick.  Styles leaps over Corbin but Corbin sets for a power bomb but Styles counters with a sunset flip for the three count.

Winner:  AJ Styles

After the match, Owens attacks Styles and Corbin joins in. 

Sami Zayn’s music plays and Owens leaves the ring.  Zayn sends Corbin into the ring post and then he knocks Owens off the apron.  Zayn with a Helluva Kick to Corbin and then Owens hits Zayn from behind and hits a pop up power bomb on Styles.

Charlotte Flair is in the back and she is asked about her title match tonight.  Charlotte says every superstar has blood running through their veins, but she has gold running through hers.  She is a four time champion and she needs a new kingdom to rule.  She does not want the title, she needs it.  The drive for five will be complete tonight. She will show that she is the greatest superstar in WWE history.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two:  Chad Gable and Jason Jordan versus Primo and Epico in  Beat the Clock Challenge Match

Gable with a back slide to Epico for a near fall.  Gable with a side head lock and a rollup for a near fall.  Jordan tgs in and he hits a drop kick and gets a near fall.  Jordan with a Gator Roll and a near fall.  Jordan with another near fall.  Epico with a punch while the Usos watch in the back from WWE monitor viewing angle number one.  Gable makes the tag and he gets a near fall with an O’Connor Roll.  Gable punches Primo and Irish whips him into the corner and Gable misses when Primo is pulled out of the corner.  Primo with a boot to Gable and then he kicks Gable and gets a near fall.  Epico tags in and he hits a splash to the back for a series of near falls.

Epico kicks Gable and runs his laces across the face.  Epico with an arm bar.  Primo tags in and they hit a series of strikes and finishes with a clothesline for a near fall.  Epico with a reverse chin lock and a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall.  Primo gets a near fall and then he slams Gable and hits a leg drop for a near fall.  Primo with a side Russian leg sweep and he tries to get Gable to submit but Gable escapes.

Primo knocks Jordan off the apron.  Epico tags in and they set for a power bomb and lungblower combination but Jordan shoulder tackles Primo to the floor and they hit Grand Amplitude for the three count.

Winners:  Chad Gable and Jason Jordan (Time to Beat 5:17)

We go to commercial.

We are back and we have comments from Rusev that were pre-taped. 

Rusev says he does not like Daniel Bryan.  He does not like Shane McMahon and he does not agree with his father’s shake up.  The only way he will wrestle on Smackdown is if he gets a Title Match at Money in the Bank.  If he does not get that chance, he will pack his bags and go back to Bulgaria.

Becky Lynch is in the interview area and she was asked about Charlotte.  Becky says calling her relationship as complex would be an understatement.  She does not agree with Charlotte’s behavior but she is getting results.

The Anti-Charlotte Welcoming Committee stops and they ask Becky where she stands on the Charlotte situation.  Natalya says you are with us and Ellsworth finishes the line.  Carmella tells Becky to choose wisely.

Match Number Three:  Randy Orton versus Erick Rowan in a No Disqualification Match

Rowan with punches and a back elbow that staggers Orton.  Rowan with a head butt.  Orton with a kick and clothesline that sends Rowan over the top rope but Rowan lands on his feet.  Rowan pulls Orton to the floor but Orton with punches and forearms.  Rowan tries for a slam but Orton sends Rowan face first into the ring post.  Orton sends Rowan into the ringside barrier and then he hits a back drop driver onto the ringside barrier.  Orton slams Rowan’s head into the announce table and then he hits a back drop driver onto the announce table.

Rowan sends Orton into the ring steps and then back into the ring.  Rowan with a splash into the corner followed by a drop kick and Rowan gets a near fall.  Rowan goes under the ring for a kendo stick.  Rowan hits Orton with the kendo stick.  Rowan gets a near fall.  Rowan goes under the ring for a table and he sets it up outside the ring.  While Rowan deals with the feng shui on the floor, Orton has the kendo stick.  Rowan picks up Orton and connects with a forearm to the back and sets for a suplex through the table on the floor.  Orton blocks it and he punches Rowan.

Orton drops Rowan on the top rope and Rowan tries to hang on.  Orton hits Rowan with the kendo stick but Rowan holds on after the first two but Orton runs at Rowan and knocks Rowan off the apron and Rowan goes through the table.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rowan with an Irish whip.  Rowan chokes Orton in the corner.  We see footage from the commercial break when Rowan was Irish whipped into the ring steps and Rowan’s knee hit the steps.  Rowan sends Orton into the announce table a few times.  Orton is sent back into the ring and Rowan grabs the kendo stick.  Orton with a kick and then he hits the IEDDT.  Orton looks around and he twists to the mat but Rowan is already on his feet.  Rowan escapes the RKO and Rowan hits Orton with the kendo stick.  Rowan kicks Orton to the floor.

Rowan grabs the top of the ring steps and he hits Orton with the steps.  Rowan grabs a chair and brings it into the ring.  Rowan wedges the chair into the corner.  Rowan tries to send Orton into the chair but Orton stops short.  Rowan charges into the corner and is sent into the chair.  Orton with an RKO for the three count.

Winner:  Randy Orton

After the match, Orton says he does not exactly know what a House of Horrors Match is but on Sunday, he will find out.  Bray said this match would be his purgatory.  Bray could not be farther from the truth.  The House of Horrors Match will be your eternal hell.

Jinder Mahal’s music plays and he tells Randy should not overlook the Maharajah.  You should not be worried about Bray or the House of Horror beacuse he is the true horror.  Jinder says he will take Randy’s title.  He has more wealth, talent, class, and culture than anybody in this arena . . . including you Randy.

Jinder says Randy is like everyone else.  Randy disrespects him because he looks different.  Randy disrespects him because of his lack of tolerance.  At Backlash, he will take back his respect.  He will take the glory of the World Title back to him and his people.  Jinder says he will address his people in his language of Punjabi.

Jinder takes a shot at Orton but Orton blocks it and then he sets for the IEDDT, but the Bollywood Boyz go after Orton and grab his legs.  Mahal kicks Orton while the Bollywood Boyz hold Orton.  Mahal with a Cobra Clutch Slam.

Mahal leaves the ring with the title belt.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see Jinder Mahal and the Bollywood Boyz leaving the arena and Jinder still has the title belt.

Match Number Four:  Konnor and Viktor versus Tyler Breeze and Fandango in a  Beat the Clock (at 5:17) Match

Viktor with a running corkscrew uppercut to Breeze for a near fall.  Viktor punches Breeze and Konnor tags in and they hit a double hip toss slam for a near fall.  

The Usos continue to watch, from the same position as the prior Beat the Clock Match as Konnor gets a lot of near falls.  Breeze with an enzuigiri and both men are down.  Viktor tags in and misses a splash into the corner.  Fandango tags in and he knocks Konnor to the floor and then punches Viktor and clotheslines him.  Viktor with a Harley Race knee for a near fall.  Konnor tags in and Konnor with a clothesline in the corner while Viktor hits another Harley Race Knee and Konnor gets a few near falls.  Konnor says it is over and Viktor tags in.  They sets for Fall of Man but Breeze with a super kick and Fandango with a Falcon Arrow for the three count.

Winners:  Tyler Breeze and Fandango

We go to commercial.

We are back and Neville says he we will learn that he is not playing as he dismantles Jack Gallagher on 205 Live.  Aries will meet the same fate on Sunday.

We have a video package for the House of Horrors Match, whatever it is.

Renee Young is with Naomi in the back.  

Renee asks Naomi about whether Charlotte is a threat to her title.  Naomi says Charlotte is a stand out talent and she won last week.  However, she is running her mouth saying she is the greatest.  To be the best, you have to be at the top.  Naomi says she is Ali and Charlotte is Foreman.  She will prove why she is the women’s champion and Charlotte will Feel the Glow.

Match Number Five:  Naomi versus Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Title

Charlotte bounces off the ropes and wooos.  They lock up and Charlotte with a side head lock take down.  Naomi with a rollup to escape.  Naomi with a side head lock.  Naomi with a bulldog into the turnbuckles.  Charlotte goes to the floor and Naomi grabs Charlotte and Charlotte trips Naomi on the apron and then pulls her to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Charlotte with a cravate.  Naomi with punches but Charlotte with a knee and biel.  Charlotte puts Naomi in the ropes and she kicks Naomi in the back.  Charlotte gets a near fall.  Charlotte with a chop and she gets a near fall,.  Charlotte with another near fall.  Charlotte with chops in the corner.  Naomi kicks Charlotte away but Charlotte pulls Naomi out of the corner.  Naomi with a sit out jaw breaker.  Naomi with kicks to the leg and she follows with the Speedball kicks but Charlotte blocks it.  Naomi with a head scissors followed by a back elbow.  Naomi wit a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position.  

Naomi gets sent to the apron and Naomi with an enzuigiri.  Naomi with a kick followed by a round kick for a near fall.  Charlotte and Naomi with forearms.  Naomi with Rear View for a near fall.  Charlotte gets a near fall with a crucifix.  Naomi with a kick and she goes for a head scissors but Charlotte blocks and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Charlotte goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Naomi gets her knees up.

Carmella, Tamina, and Natalya attack and the referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

After the match, they continue the attack and Naomi starts to fight back.  Tamina with a super kick to Charlotte.  Tamina holds Charlotte and Carmella with a thrust kick.

We go to credits.
