WWE SmackDown Report – 10/24/14

We are in Wichita, Kansas and your announcers are John Layfield, Tom Phillips, and Michael Cole.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring and we see footage of Dean and Seth getting a visit from Saint Mick to talk about what Hell in a Cell is going to mean to both men.

Dean says that he has proven that the laws of physics don’t apply to him. What goes up must come down, but Dean says that he doesn’t stay down. You hit him with chairs, but he gets back up. You choke slam him and he gets back up. He gets back up after being curb stomped on cinder blocks.

Why does he keep getting back up? Dean says that he can say that is indestructible and he cannot be hurt, or he can tell the truth and say that it does hurt. Standing up to the Authority can be a painful thing. He keeps getting up and that is the main difference between him and the guy who came out on Raw to warn him and Seth of the dangers of Hell in a Cell, Mick Foley. Mick was the hardcore legend, but deep down, Mick was always a nice guy.

Dean says that he is not a nice guy. He does not have a loving family to go home to. All he has is inflicting pain on those who inflict pain on him. That hole in his stomach and thirst for vengeance propels him to Hell in a Cell. The day he has been waiting for since Seth put that knife in his back and said it was just business.

On Sunday, Dean says that he will prove to Seth that despite how fat your wallet is, you cannot take it with you when you are knee deep in your own personal hell. If you have anything to say, you should leave your precious office and come out and say it.

Seth appears on the TitanTron and he tells Ambrose that we need to get one thing perfectly clear. Dean does not tell him what to do. He does not call him out. Seth says that he tells Dean what to do and he calls him out. Later tonight, that is what he is going to do.

Since we are already talking about the past, let’s take a stroll down memory lane. Remember how he spoon fed Dean those catchphrases? How could you believe in that? While they thought they were building something special, it was him all along setting up his special moment. Dean talks about vengeance like he won the lottery. Vengeance is cheap and it isn’t worth a damn, just like Dean.

Dean’s future ends at Hell in a Cell while his future truly begins when he disposes of Dean on Sunday. Then, when the time is right, he will cash in his Money in the Bank contract and solidify himself as the future of the WWE.

Dean paces in the ring while Seth laughs.

Dean says that Seth always had a way with words, but when the cell comes down, he cannot talk his way out of that. It might be his last matches or last night at Hell in a Cell, they will burn together. He says that Seth will perish alone.

We are back and Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury.

Seth says that Dean came out on Raw earlier this week and you thought you were the only one with a bag of tricks. Seth says that he is one step ahead of Dean because he taught Dean everything he knows. Dean can call him a sell out all he wants and so can the people in the crowd (and they do). Seth says that he admits he sold out, but he bought into a concept that is foreign to all of you . . . WINNING.

Seth says that he is a winner. He is a born winner and at Hell in a Cell, he is going to win. He may have never participated in a Hell in a Cell match, but he is a student of the game. There is only one rule inside Hell in a Cell. There are no rules.

Without further ado, he wants to give us a little preview of what he is going to do to Dean Ambrose.

Seth looks at the props that are conveniently in the ring and he starts with handcuffs. Seth says that Dean has made it a habit out of popping out of surprising places so he can bind Dean inside the cell so Dean will know he has nowhere to run or nowhere to hide.

Seth grabs a screwdriver and he says that maybe he will deflate his ego and prove that Dean has been a screw up all along.

Seth grabs a lead pipe and points out that Dean said that he was indestructible. He will use this pipe to beat Ambrose into a pulp.

Seth says that he saved the best for last. He grabs a chair and he asks Dean how it felt. He reminds Dean of the night he decimated him with the chair and proved that he was the leader and backbone of The Shield.

We can redo all of that or we can finish what we started on Raw. We can settle it right here, right now. Let’s do that because he is going to do what he told Dean he was going to do earlier tonight. He is calling Dean Ambrose out.

Seth looks around and he doesn’t see Dean. He says that he knew Dean wasn’t coming out because he is all talk. He has always been all talk. Maybe Dean learned something from Seth when they were in the Shield. Dean doesn’t want to come out here because he is afraid. If he was Ambrose, he wouldn’t want what happened on Raw to happen to him tonight. The future is a very very bright place.

For Dean Ambrose, it is what it has always been. A long ride straight to hell.

We see footage from the end of Raw when Seth Rollins was on top of the cell.
