WWE SmackDown Report – 1/22/15

This week’s show begins with a look back at what happened on Raw when John Cena fought the odds to win back the jobs of Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, and Ryback . . . with some help from that VIGILANTE known as Sting.

We are in Austin, Texas and your announcers are Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and Byron Saxton.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring.

Daniel says everyone seems excited tonight. Why wouldn’t you be? We are days away from the Royal Rumble and start the Road to Wrestlemania. Daniel says he could come out here and talk about how important his No Disqualification Match against Kane is tonight and how he will do anything to win that match. He could talk about how since he forfeited the title, he has been thinking about how to win back the WWE Championship.

He could talk about Sting . . . and his first ever appearance on Raw. He could talk about how the Authority in power, out of power, still flat out suck. He could talk about all of that, but he wont. John Cena did something very important on Raw. Instead of being out here yakking, he knows some people who might want to get something off their chests.

Ryback, Erick Rowan, and Dolph Ziggler make their way to the ring.

Daniel says that he is sure they are all excited to get back in the ring.

Ryback says it sounds like there are some hungry people in Austin. He says that they both know what it is like to be out of action when you are fired and see others do what you love to do and the world passes you by. He says he could have felt sorry or given up, but this has been his dream since age 12. No one takes it away from him, especially not the Authority. Thanks to John Cena, the man they call Sting, and all of you for telling the world how bad the Authority sucks. The Big Guy is back. He wants to be fed more.

Rowan takes the mic and he pulls off his mask and he says being gone was sort of a blessing. He had a lot of time to sit back and think. He used to be a different person. He was naïve. . . somebody’s puppet. These last few weeks, he has seen himself in a new light. Rowan says that he knows . . . we know, who he really is.

Ziggler says he sat around, ate some stuffed crust pizza, watched the Triple H and Stephanie Fitness DVD . . . Daniel asks him if that is what he did and Ziggler says hell no. He says that he was showing everyone that he belongs on top. He was the Intercontinental Champion and the Sole Survivor. The Authority tried to take it away from all of them because they are a threat. They saw through the BS and stood for something they believed in.

Daniel says he would rather sit in the ring and deal with whatever punishment than sit on a couch and complain on a podcast.

Kane’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage with Seth Rollins, Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and the Big Show.

Seth says it looks like we have a Survivor Series Reunion, except they have replaced the wannabe Superman with the garden gnome Daniel Bryan.

Dolph apologizes but he says he did not recognize Seth without his nose up the Authority’s backside. Ever since you arranged to bring the Authority back, he has been waiting to get his hands on Rollins again.

Seth says that he would love to do it . . . but he is not going to do that.

As you probably noticed, watching at home, Seth says more important things to do than deal with Dolph. Seth says that in three days not only will he beat John Cena, but he will beat Brock Lesnar to become the next WWE Champion.

Seth says the fitness videos are phenomenal in case you want to be half the man he is.

Dolph says that he never saw someone run away faster from Brock Lesnar last week.

Kane says that Dolph is very disrespectful considering he just got rehired 72 hours ago. Kane reminds Daniel he has to get through him if he wants to be in the Royal Rumble Match.

Daniel says he has a better chance against Kane than he did against Brock Lesnar on Monday. We see what happened on Monday night.

Show tells the greasy mall hamster in the ring that there is nothing he would rather do than give everyone in the Royal Rumble a first class ticket over the top rope because you never fly first class. He won’t have to worry about that because Daniel will be facing Kane.

Kane reminds Daniel that they have known each other for a long time. Kane asks Daniel if he remembers the levels of sadism he can achieve.

Dolph, you may want an Intercontinental Title match, but as a new employee, you are at the bottom of the ladder again. You will get a chance to face the man who took the title from you and that match is next.

We go to commercial.
