WWE SmackDown Report – 1/9/15

We begin with a video package setting up the return of the Authority and the end of the WWE careers of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan.

We are in Laredo, Texas and your announcers are Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Tom Phillips.

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. Seth has his briefcase with him.

Seth says that he is feeling good tonight. He asks if you saw the look on John Cena’s face at the end of Raw on Monday. Seth says he loved it so much we have to look at it again. We see a photo of the shocked look on John’s face and Seth says that is the look of a man who has been had. Seth says that he manipulated John into doing something that he wore he would not do. He singlehandedly manipulated John Cena into bringing back the Authority.

With the Authority back in power, that is on John’s head. It is also on John’s head that three men who trusted John with his careers are no longer employed by this company. On Monday, they were fired. Those three men were Erick Rowan, Ryback, and Dolph Ziggler.

Seth says we should not villainize John because happy days are here again. The Authority is in power again and Seth reminds us that he is in the main event at the Royal Rumble. Seth says he can barely believe it. At the Royal Rumble, the WWE World Championship match will now be a Triple Threat Match. John Cena versus Brock Lesnar versus me.

Seth says you all like to say that what the Authority does is vindictive, but they are justified. So all of you don’t think that Seth is such a bad guy because he is not a bad guy. Seth asks for ten seconds of silence so we can all properly acknowledge the lackluster careers of Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler, and Ryback.

They do a ten bell salute for those three men, but it is interrupted by Roman Reigns.

Reigns makes his way to the ring.

Seth says it is good to see Roman again, brother.

Roman mocks the ‘brother’ comment and he says he is sorry to interrupt, but not really. He says that Seth is so full of himself. He says that Seth is full of something else. You are a sniveling little suck up sell out full of suffering succotash . . . son.

Roman says his brother has donkey dung for brains. He says that he is trying to say he is going to kick Seth’s ass and Reigns punches Seth and then he sends Joey and Jamie to the floor. Roman blocks a punch and then he punches Seth again and Rollins leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Big Show makes his way to the stage with Rollins, Mercury, and Noble. Kane joins them as well and Kane tells Roman that he has an expression of ‘one versus all’. Let’s put that to the test tonight. It will be one versus all of Seth Rollins and the Big Show.

Kane tells Roman if he can find a tag team partner they can join him, but if someone joins Roman, they will befall the disfavor of the Authority. He wishes Roman luck but he says he will need more than luck.

Show asks Roman if he wants to compare his Superman punch to his big meaty fist? Show says he will knock Roman out tonight and he will do the same to his partner. He asks everyone if they don’t think he can so he tells them to try him. Show says Roman awakened a sleeping tiger as well as a 450 pound giant. Roman, you are screwed.

The New Day appear in the back and they walk us into commercial.

We are back and Kane is on the phone and he says he has everything under control, but Miz and Sandow enter. Miz says it must be great that the Authority is back in power. He is not angry they cancelled MizTV tonight. Since Seth Rollins got his spotlight, they should get their spotlight tonight. They should get a tag title match against The Usos.
